Hirap makipag deal sa challenge!...
mukhang hindi alam yung mga products nila...
they'll even let you wait for 30 mins on the phone before ka masagot sa queries mo...
tech support even sucks...
yung Digi Products namin sa GMA7, di nila ma support agad.
would take you a month before ka nila ma-support...

I wonder. why would Digidesign tolerate such things that could bring their name down?

also, beware of one of their employee...

Help naman po.  Baka may makunan tayo ng mga SMD parts dito:

  • SMD resistors.
  • SMD capacitors - electrolytic, tantalum, non-polar.
  • SMD IC/Transistors.
  • SMD inductors.
  • SMD rectifier bridge/diode.
  • SMD GDT/MOV/TVS/LED.

Tnx. 8-)

sirs san meron supplier ng cubase sx3 sa manila?

tnx

Steinberg is supposedly carried by Audiophile but AP only has Nuendo in their lineup. I have asked them several times for Cubase support and for possible upgrades of my SL2 but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

it's quite difficult, coz i would inquire at steinberg USA and they'd point me there... and yes, they seem to be totally deaf about it. sent them a few emails inquiring about upgrades. no reply whatsoever. and that's considering i buy a lot of stuff from them too (obviously non-steinberg products, coz i'm not even sure they know they should be carrying steiberg products.) :|

If you can wait just a little... Emu is having talks with a local distro; I don't want to say who until the talks are final. They supposedly had a meeting last week or so. Now if you can't wait, like I said, just contact Jepoy or have a look at bugoy's 1212m at the classifieds, much better than the 0404.

Any news on the emu distributor?

Would be cool if they bring in e-mu 0404 USB and 0202 USB.

Hmmm... no news from either party at the moment. As much as I like my Emu, I'm hoping they could improve the functionality of the 0404 USB. From what I've been reading so far, the pci 0404 trumps the usb 0404 with having patchmix and better driver implementation. The only thing that makes the usb interfaces a contender are their portability.

Future Music closed its doors sometime in 2002 I think. The only way to get Cakewalk products now (legally) is to order from abroad or from their online site if you have an international credit card. I suggest having someone you know order and deliver it in the US then have it shipped to you since the manuals that come with orders shipped overseas are usually multilanguage versions instead of the full english version.

Sony HPs (7506 and 7509) are kinda hard to find locally. There are alternatives like Audio Technica ATH M40's or M50's, and AKG K240's if you look around.

Try in the Makati Quad carpark shops. That's where I last saw a K240s. The ATH's can be had in any audiophile; you can also try TMS since they also carry Audio Technica products.

Pasensya na kung medyo OT,

Am trying to set a budget for an affordable sound system for our church.
Di ko alam kung ano bibilhin. Hirap kasing magset nang appointment with the stores medyo baka maiipit at sa kanila bibilhin.

We use 2 electric guitars and a bass guitar, a keyboad and drum set.
Usually use about 8 microphones. There are about 4 pairs of speakers na locally assembled lang.

Our present setup consists of 2 microphone amps each with 4 pl inputs but each two mics are controlled by a single setting. use the microphone outs and input it to the other microphone amp. The instrucments are attached to their own respective amps except for the drum set which has none.

Thank you. So as not to clutter the forum eh pa pm na lang kung mahaba ang sagot

just to update the thread na rin...i got an akg k-271 at sound and music people, priced at 9,800pesos. they gave me a 10% discount pa. not bad na rin for the price comparing it to B&H. meron pa duon ng isang akg k-240, forgot the price pero i think its priced at 4,800.

B&H price a bit expensively, almost like Sweetwater. If you want to really compare MSRP, try looking at Musician's Friend, Zzounds and Guitar Center. You got a good deal on the 271 though.

i buy most of my studio equipment through sweetwater, actually they all claim to be the lowest in terms of prices but their all almost the same, but with sweetwater , zzounds ,musiciansfriend, etc are tax free. but sweetwater offers free delivery no matter the cost even if its free(sometimes coz my friend had his free ), but the downside is they deliver with in the U.S. only(sweetwater), what i do is have a relative ship it home or if anyone i know goes home and has extra space or don't mind carrying an extra bag/box. wish there were more pro audio suppliers here in the phil., looking back id suggest for best reference of street prices in the states there is Zzounds, musicians friend, sweetwater, mannys music store is sometimes ok,(they have cool sale discounts in their stores) tried shopping stuff from them when i was still in NY,by the way another suggestion, you could have your stuff shipped via johnny air cargo, though it would cost you an arm and a leg if your bringing in heavy stuffs. just sharing the info, peace! :-D
