tanong lang po
« on: October 11, 2006, 10:44:20 AM »
my tanong po ako,
nag concert kasi kami dati,

Hey guys correct me if i'm wrong, di ba ang power amp is the one that drives the speakers, and mixers, effects, equalizers, etc, with the right tweaking makes it a good sound quality.

Sa akin naman, JBL is one of the best because for one it has a higher sensitivity compared to other brands which translate into more loud volume.

Sir Tarkuz, is it really true na an increase of 3 decibels sa isang speaker would make it twice louder. (i.e. 93 dB compared to a 96dB speaker)

speakers (hindi mixers, effects, eq, etc.) and dina-drive ng power amp.

increase of 3 dB equals 2 times the power = just noticeable
increase of 6 dB equals 4 times the power = moderate
increase of 10 dB equals 10 times the power = twice as loud

loud is...
« Reply #10 on: October 13, 2006, 11:26:00 PM »
Kapatid, yes, loud is sometimes good but i think not always a reason to define it as good sounding. Low distortion sounds is more desirable for me.Yung na-experience mong parang inde nang-gagaling sa speaker yung tunog, the tricks is in clever exploitation of the acoustic phenomenon called the HAAS effect. When our ears hear sound of similar volume, the brain latches onto which whichever sound arrives first. This defines the apparent sound source.JBL is the man pagdating sa ganung method. Its was called Ground Zero method. They use time delay for those speakers on use.It was introduced sa Concord Jazz Festival,Concord Pavilion,sa California. Then ofcourse to add more, proper matching between power amps(clean watts) and good speaker design(low distortion type),great mic's,matching cables, speaker positioning and balance control on the mixer and finally, good ears i think do the magic kaya it has an stellar sound.

ano pa po bang mga dahilan kung bakit napaka mahal ng jbl? ang alam ko 44k ung sub nila na 18" 800w..

bare speaker lng un, kaya ba mahal un kasi matibay? maganda tunog? o portable? o mahirap ang pilipinas?  :D

Kapatid pagdating sa pricing ng isang speaker let say JBL brand, depende yan sa materials they use,the place where it was made(kung California parin galing, shipping cost adds to the price. Also, its a Pro product meaning it was design to be build for abuse;from power amp, abuse in handling, sama mo na abuse from weather variations exposure.Ofcourse,design-wise also matter kaya mahal sya.Maganda tumunog, expect na maganda rin ang presyo.

I agree, 100%!

At kung sobrang mura ang pricing ng isang speaker brand, magmumura ka rin...
