Well I have read reviews about people who switched from GT8 to G7.1UT. They all said that the G7.1UT is hands down better tone-wise.

Sa mga gustong bumili ng G9, i just bought mine around 2 weeks ago...sunggaban niyo na yung nasa jb kasi tumaas daw yung puhunan sa G9 according to the store owners of Raon...around 20-21k na yung benta nila...nagkataon lang na old stock yung nabili ko kaya i got mine at less than 19k... :-D

What do you guys think of the wah fx?

I am not a wah expert but I think it's ok naman. But who am I to say it sucks.

In your chain, do you still have a wah pedal? If so, why? Is it for convenience or is it because the zoom wah aint good?

IMHO ang pangit ng wah ng G-series. dun lang sila sumablay. nung naka-G9 pa ko kahit anong weak sa multi-wah nahirapan pa rin ako makahanap ng sweep na satisfied ako.

here is my set up

Guitar(Double hum) >> Volume pedal Korg VP-10 >> GTX-HM100 >> GTX-OD100 >> GFX-5 >> MArshall MG15CD (Guitar inputs not on the Direct).

So far satisfied ako sa Wah ng gfx-5 di kase ako madunong mag sweep. napansin ko pag gamit ko yung wah then im using the HM-100 at naka taas yung highs and lows ng eq, matining masyado pag naka full step ka.

Crappy playing.

Eto naman ung Yupangco Jam.
Used the EDGE preset patch. Konting tweak lang sa eq.

I must agree, most of the manual wahs are still a bit "bitin" so to speak...but try to compare it with other multifx, the G series has the closest simulation to regular wah pedals(EX-7 ofcourse is another story :-))...auto-wahs are nice though IMHO  :-D  but hey...don't stop at the wahs, there are tons of fx that you can use with your pedal...

The strongest point of the G series pedals though (G9, in particular, not sure with other g series) is the ability to use other fx in conjunction to your desired fx loop like controlling the gain through it and inversely lowering the volume as you step on the pedal...also, you have the ability to define the parameters in detail when you do this...z pedal is an added treat...now you don't have to move to a different patch to switch from manual wah mode to pitch shifter, etc...

I believe that Zoom has made an innovation out of this...don't flame me for saying this...I'm not saying that this is the best multi-fx in town...i'm still in my honeymoon stages with my new baby but as early as now, i can notice a few flaws in it... overall though, these G-series can definitely deliver with the proper settings... :-) :-D

Here is my setting in zoom gfx-1... drive=BG, eq=25, gain=23, contour=0, chorus=1 (pag rhythm), delay=2 (pag solo)...   OT: Pag gumagamit kayo ng wah pedal like dunlop, etc. binabypass nyo ba yung sa clean tone ng digital fx nyo na nakachain like zoom?

Update on the Zoom thread.

Just fiddled around with the drive types. This time, I used the earphone jack of my son's Fender 15G. Then went the Matchless Hot Box setting.

Damn, I had tone! This was the first time that I heard the Zoom through the earphone.

What are your thoughts on this?

IMO, hearing G series units through earphones always sound better than hearing them through amps.  :-D

oo naman. yung G2.1u ko, ang main purpose talaga nun ay USB interface. saksak ako ng analog disto/OD/wah. tapos ang ginagamit ko lang yung reverb ng G2.1u.

QUESTION:

sa G-series ba e pwede nang iarrange ung patches with regards sa pagkakasunod sunod? like how you'd set up analog stomps?
