Okay. If I don't kick this off, it will be too late. I hope I can rally your support and put together a Megajam "Kitakits" event.

I'll lay the concept out here, let's toss it around until something concrete forms.

What : Megajam
Where: Paco Catholic School (Manila) Covered Quadrangle
When : 7pm-3am, November 18-19, 2006
What up : Long concert, 20-30 bands, 4 song set apiece.

We'll need sponsors if that's possible. Takes very little to pull this off, only about P20k.

By the way, no sex and drugs, just rock and roll. And some booze.

Okay guys, start tossing ! Comments on the date, place etc are welcome.

Edit update : Me anticipated Mass ngapala ng 6-7, so we can't start at 4. Can't have a rock concert while Mass is being said

Edit update #2 - changed the working title to "Megajam" pending suggestions. I remembered that it's not proper to use "philmusic" or imply endorsement without the formal blessing of Pinoymusika.

Teka...while we're at it, let's start the band listing.

Guys, this can be pulled off. We have the resources and connections, the only variables would be how "bongga" the event will eventually be. If we have sponsors, then we can afford to rent some Pearl drums and large Marshalls and pro sound reinforcement and lighting. If not, we will just pool together instruments and amps and it will be a musical "get together", sitting on the floor. How it eventually turns out depends on the actual resources we can muster for the event. Lets see...its one month away. Lots of time.

But let's start the band listing. I reckon my band will be gig-ready by that time (given the breakneck pace that we've set our rehearsal schedules). So I'll start the ball rolling with that. As is tradition, copy, add your band's name and paste.

Ey guys ! The thread is not "yet" an announcement, it's a "Request for Comments" document to validate kung okay sa inyo ang date, concept, time and if evern sino ang tutugtog.

. After all, it's "our" event di ba ?

I guess then with the show of support, so far so good. No dissenting opinions anyone ?

If we can get the rest of the other forums (like Bass, Drums and Keyboards ) to pitch in--I really believe we can pull this off. Perhaps Jobet, you can also put a thread in those forums>>>
