i tried the raon 18" speakers before. exaggerated ang specs!  they declare 1000w but the over-all structure of the speaker is at most 500w or 600w only. only the p-audio speakers offer true power rating and the best sound output.  this is indeed a very good investment.

hindi ba field replaceable ang basket nyan sir? like yung challenger series nila naka bolt ang magnet,, minsan kasi lalo na pag ganyan malalaki magnet eh natatangal ang back plate,, kaya maganda if nakascrew or bolt

just got the vcoil.  it's 2thou for a 5-inch in&out 1000 watts aluminum voice coil.  not bad

Tsong, for the same price, puede ka rin nakabili ng RCF L18P300 na woofer. 

ito yung woofer na ginagamit ng Martin Audio and EAW sa mga Subwoofer nila.

kaya ito ginagamit ng PMX and RSL sa mga subs nila

mga tol i'm a newbie here. hingin ko lang sana opinion niyo. ano bang magandang sub, yung powered o hindi? i'm planning to buy the B3 sigma series na 18" powered sub. althogh budget ko is good for 1 sub muna. pero halos yung nakikita kong ginagamit na sub ng mga nagpaparent ng sounds ay yung malalaking box. i don't even know how to differentiate a w box, sa subscope or  el 36 or anything. kaya medyo nalilito ako. i just want to have my own sub pero di ko alam kung anong mas maganda. although gusto kong nakikita yung malalaking sub. they look tough. hope matulungan niyo ko. thanks in advance

rcf is a proven brand but i would still prefer a 'ribbed' cone design for my woofers rather than a 'plain/flat' cone assembly.  the 'ribbed' cone is more durable and produces deeper and rounder bass (in my observation).

btw,  how much is the L18 P300 and where can you buy one?

that's one reason why the Peavey black widow1505 (350w) and the EV dl18 (400w) have limited power handling capacity.  their structural design (in the cone) is not made primarily for low frequency reproduction.  flat/plain cone design is better off for the 'musical instruments' section and not for your subs.

I just usually use '2 per side' of my sd 18el installed on wsx18 subs.  But my amp is the crown MA3600vz  . (take note na kahit luma na unmatched pa din ang power output ng crown sa subs hehehe)

that's why i was convinced to invest on the P-Audio SD 18el since it is always 'a' recommended speaker in speakerplans.com along with the Void V18, PD1850, B&C 18TBX, 18sound, etc.  it's the only asian-made speaker that made breakthrough in Europe as well as in the US.
