Well i have a friend who owns one...ok tumunog at matibay din medyo matagal na sa kanya ung unit so far ok pa din... loaded ito ng class "D" amp module with switch mode power supply... that i guess is very common nowadays to almost any brand of active speakers available in the market specially branded ones...
I auditioned those with the Behringer Eurolive B115D series. I ended up with the Behringers. More power and headroom for me. I guess the amp section says it all - 1000 watts vs 800 watts of the Altos. Although I got some pairs of QSC K12s from JB way back that's why I've been screening the Altos too.
my best bet for medium end powered speakers are the samson auro x15d. sound as good as the high-end models in the market but not too expensive.http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/pa-cabinets/auro/aurox15d/
