kamalayan. kailangan ba yan i crank up para lalabas ang true tone? seriously? if it works for you then cool. Cool thing about your amp is portability...kahit sa jeep or bus pwede kang magjamming...pwede ding magcarolling diba..may lead guitars pa.....cool na cool.

ampangit ng itsura! mukhang ice cooler na maliit. it has 2 8inch speakers(50 watts each!).
tapos hindi sya wood. Carbon fiber sya and surprisingly 100watts! lightweight pa!

ART t28 attack module. ganda ng lead channel! classic rock ang tunog. clean channel very warm. Very tight bass. Hybrid amp lang( a single 12ax7 on both channels). pero ganda ng tunog! ampangit lang talaga itsura 80's na 80's! may pink parts pa hehehe.

i got it at half the original price kasi old stock na! a few months after i got a matching extension cabinet. so ngayon meron na akong 4x8 amplifier under 20k!

kaso dahil luma na sya i need to have it checked. the pots. capacitors. and the spring reverb medyo mahina. (PM nyo ko if you know anybody i can bring my amp to for general repairs/ maintenance).

other than that i like it! :D

superoxy, pwede bang gumamit ng footswitch kahit ibang brand ang amp co? lets say gagamit aco ng fender footswitch to toggle between clean/overdrive ng amp, pero ibang brand ang amp co (gtx sha and may footswitch jack plug sa likod). is it possible?

[Original 1975 JC120. The best solid state amp ever. Better than entry level tube amps.....
why do you like it? ano ang nasa amp mo na differnet sa ibang entry level tube amps? Can you describe what sounds your are getting from your amp or kunge pwede clips and pics din...thanks.
http://thumb8.webshots.com/t/10/11/3/45/47/2398345470084581788PYmvjf_th.jpg

Why?

1. As an example, have you tried na mga MESA (kahit F-series lang, combo amp)? I wouldn't use a pedal to drive it. It's a shame. Lupit ng tunog!!

2. As an example, you cannot use Fender Deville's amp drive/distortion. You won't like it. You will need to replace its stock tubes. Otherwise, a pedal(s) is a must.

IMO,

What good is a tube amp if you don't use its distortion? Many like the fender twins for its clean sound. But it's too sharp (talim ng tunog) for me.

As for the ROLAND JC120, Best stereo chorus( very lushfull). Many say it has the CE-1 circuit. Great speakers too. This plus an SD-1 or TS-9, it rocks!!! I get my crunch sa BD-2 and compressor ko.

For blues, guitar straight to amp, you're better off with the fenders out there. Because of the amps  reverb and brightness. But I'm not into blues  :)

here's my amp: (sorry magulo room ko hehe)

my amp is a Peavey JSX 120W head with a Peavey 4x12" Triple XXX slanted cab. i bought it because i like its tone and the ultra channel is perfect for my taste. the crunch is good too, it sounds kind of a tweener between classic and 80s rock disto/OD. the clean tone has a lot of punch and complements my stompboxes very well. the master volume helps too. the noise gate is very efficient, it segregates the hum well enough that i don't even bother using my noise suppressor pedal that much anymore (except when i'm using my Strat hehe). the Triple XXX cab also sounds great. it isn't loaded with Celestion V30s but the customized Sheffield 12" speakers get the job done for me :)

That's good enough sa open STADIUM. I bet your vol at home is less than 10%.

From the top: Mesa Mark IV, Mesa DC-5, Diezel VH4S, Mesa Boogie Trem-o-verb 100Watt. I use a combination of the 2 rectifier 2x12 closed backs and a 3/4 open back for the VH4S.

Sorry for the yellowish color:) I don't have a digital camera so I had to ask my brother to take it using his iSight webcam which is not the best but it works. My studio has Ikea Halogen lights above the outboard gear rack and amp heads that provide the only light sources in the room. I got the halogen spot lights to cut down on any possible hum sources.

Currently still hunting down a Palmer PDI-03 to record the heads DI to mix with in addition to a miked input. I would prefer the mid-90s version of the PDI-03 pero walang nagbebenta kahit used. I will hunt around more and see if I can find one, if not, then I will opt for the re-issued PDI-03 and record clips when I get that.

I use a fender 65' deluxe reverb reissue- love its transparent clean sound and reverb... very easy to crank w/ humbucking pups w/c is also bad in a way cause it has a limited head room... I also use a marshall 62' jtm45 bluesbreaker combo reissue, this has more headroom...  good for clean too :D

hehe you have a point. i bought a 4x12 because i'm saving up to build my own soundproofed studio at home (in around 10 years?! hehe). my volume is usually set at around 10-20% but i've already tried it at 30% or so. my neighbors weren't too pleased to say the least hehe. i'm not sure about this, but i think the master volume kind of lets the tubes operate at max volume without actually giving off 100% volume output to the cabinet. that's just what my ears tell me :)

you have a great amp as well, i would love to try out a JSX some time being a huge satch fan myself. as for my amps, it all depends what tone I might need. i love the blues so I tend to use the DC-5 and Mark IV a lot on clean with a strat. i just love the sound of slightly driven single coils.

pare....when you try the V3...try it with the matching cab and the Legacy cab......if you are a lead player ....you might like the cab with the Celestion Vin 30s......if you are a NEOMetal head...the matching cab is the one for you....scooped and tight bass.

here's a Carvinite who really loves his V3 and posted a lot of clips of it.
