Sa akin naman

7 things in Drumming:
1. Passion - Will to be the best and be respected
2. Mastery - Dapat alam mo ginigawa mo and kung saan kana, self evaluation kung tawagin.
3. Discipline - hindi lahat ng tugtog pwde mo lagyan ng pyrotechnique.

4. Patience - It takes time. . . .you know what I mean

5. Creativity - The key to be noticed and to be a successful artist or musician. Be original!

6. Open-mind - Accept criticism and suggestion, malay mo tama pala sila

7. Business minded - Know the business also

1. Versatility - ability to play any genre
2. Dynamics - music is not all about drums haha

3. Time - keep a solid and steady time while playing
4. Groove - make them people dance! haha

5. Pocketing - shoot na shoot dapat sa time
6. Technique - its not about what you play, its how you play it

timekeeping,groove,versatility,dynamics,pocketing need mo mga yan

patience and discipline

offcourse need mo magkaroon ng passion sa instrument na ginagamit mo para maatim mo yung mastery

CREATIVITY madali na yun kz kung nagsosolo ka magpractice naglalakbay din isip mo kung anu gs2 mo mga solo fills na ipasok sa tinutugtog nyo

para sa akin, ang pinaka importante (regardless of genre) ay "SOUL". eto yung dahilan kung bakit kumukuha or nagha-hire pa din ng drummers ang mga bands/artists instead of just using drum machines.

Tingin ko tama naman lahat itong limang binangit mo. Depende nalang sa level mo bilang drummer ang magiging sagot. halimbawa: pag newbie palang sa drums sigurado ang pipiliin ay yung "gusto lang nila pumalo" habang natututo sila ang magiging aim naman nila ay yung "speed" tapos dahil aware na sya sa speed nya edi ang susunod dun ay "Voice of Playing" tapos "mastery of your kit" tapot este tapos pala edi yung "Versatility" tapos etc....

opinioon ko lang naman po ito....

in thee end 3 lang lagi ang gusto ko walang iba kung di yung basic P's of drumming....Praktis, Pasensya, at Pagpupursigi!

You can't be versatile without these. Being versatile can mean a lot of things on and off stage. Anyone know the guy named RINGO STARR? I believe he's not versatile enough to play jazz, latin, heavy metal, etc but he made MILLIONS of dollars drumming for The Beatles. Anymore case study people?

that sums it up not just drumming but other aspect that needs to be covered. hay sayang ala internet at drum forums nung panahon ko hehe!

no.7 is very important kasi dyan ako nagkulang hehe kasi ok lang tlga sa kin nung una libre or may bayad basta makatugtug lang masaya na ako. pero kapag tumatanda ka na dapat tlga
alam mo pano makipag deal mabuti pra di ka naman under paid palagi lalu n akung may K kana hehe kasi daming tao sa music business na may pagka buwaya kaya dapat tlga mautak ka.

hehe tsaka ayaw na ayaw ng mga bitols yung flashy drummer bukod sa ok tlga yung personality ni ringo dun sa tatlo kaya isa rin yun kaya sya kinuha bukod sa di sya masyadong pogi kumpara kay pete best haha!
