Akala mo lang yun don't tell me basta mo na lang binili yan without even trying it out. Now in case you did not try it out by now i'm certain you already did so more or less you can say something about it.

You can't be in a forum and expect to hear only things you like to hear. Don't be an onion skin it does'nt help.

Syempre sinubukan ko and nagustuhan ko [and that is all I can say for now] kaya ko nga binili eh and hindi ako onion skin and this is not the only forum or site na binibisita ko so I know how it goes here ...
Dude , opinion ng ibang HCS users ang hinihintay kong sagot para if they have bad expriences and tips to maintain or whatever , at least I know what to expect and yung kasi ang theme ng thread .
Like what I've said , no idea at all on how to describe or compare the sound ... I was reviewing the previous posts and it shows how other China users compare the sound with other brands kasi they have tried it out ...

Peace and much love !

HCS is The Brass series right? MCS ung Bronze?
or the other way around?

well, if its the brass,

ive used PAISTE PST3(BRASS) china sa isang studio
and what i can say,

Impressive sounding siya for a brass cymbal kasi as we all know diba, brass cannot compare to bronze in terms of sound.
ayun it was good pero andun parin ung "pang" sound na parang gongy
which i dont like sa china. i like it if it is thrashy. im using an AAX 18" chinese and this really satisfied my cravings for a china cymbal.

@ralph
meinl hcs is an entry-level bronze cymbal line, similar to sabian b8. ;)

EDIT: ay mali pala, upon checking, mcs is made from b8; hcs is BRASS.

Never ko pa na-try yung HCS na china sa gig or sa practice kaya I'll have to wait and see pa ... By Thursday or Friday may jam yung band ko so hopefully magamit ko na sya and makapag provide na ako ng comment about an HCS China ...

@raLpH_pEtRucCi

I'll update my post here pag nagamit ko na yung China sa practice or gig ...

brass ang HCS.

kaso sa china naman, anything goes e. cheap chinas can sound incredibly good, and expensive ones incredibly bad (ie oriental, a custom).

It's Good that you tried it out and liked it. That's what i'm talking about there must be something you liked in it for you to make the purchase.

It's only "Too Bad" that you're asking about extra info after making the purchase instead of before making the purchase. Kasi pag nagkataon you'll be stuck with it in case it is not good enough for whatever reason.

In the end if you really like it doesnt matter what everyone else says including me.

Peace and love din sayo  8-)

I agree with you on that point, but it was given to me for a very , very , very ... as in very low price  :wink: ... :-D

nakapost din po sa paiste cymbal thread..

paiste 2000 18" china... blue label. Based dun sa serial number, 1980's..

paluin sa flange part ng china, yung part kung san naging flat na ung bow...a lot of drummers play it inverted, para nga ma-hit ung flange which creates the oriental sound of the cymbal. I-angle din ng maayos ung china, ung accessible para sa inyo paluin ung flange, then don't tighten too much ung wingnuts para hindi sakal and to avoid cracks on the keyholing. At cyempre, do not hit directly perpendicular dun sa edge. I hope this helps. :-)

yup, ung umbok/tenga/bundok/flange part ng china hehe...ako kasi mas gusto ko dun paluin kasi maganda ung short sustain oriental attack...kesa pag sa edge mismo...mejo gongy/clangy na may sustain, which i don't like, and magiging prone rin sa cracks if mistakenly hit :-)

Like other cymbals, mortal sin talaga gawin un hehe. And like others say, play it gracefully with a swinging motion and avoid hammering it down. Happy drumming :-D
