TIM's TIM and the ETHOS (video)
« on: September 16, 2009, 09:14:52 PM »
two great pedals:) Thanks to Tim C. for the Paul C. Tim...
as for the Ethos, it's such a fun versatile pedal to tinker with. just experimenting to see how close it can get to the transparent overdrive sound..what dyou think?

I have both as well and I can get the Ethos to sound pretty close to the Timmy with humbuckers. Not the case for Single Coils though, as I prefer using the Ethos's red channel. The Ethos is noticeably darker sounding. :)

Great effort.
Oks sana pag may mga pasabit na single note lead lines.

All in all pretty useful.

I love my Tim and Ethos too.... as well as my Geekscreamer and zendrive and Hermida reverb.
If you have a zendrive...it sounds awesome on the clean channel of the ethos. The zendrive stacked to a Tim sounds awesome too.

Miss Barbie, have you tried stacking both pedals? What settings do you use?

@boogsy, not really tried stacking them both so much (except on 1:11, where they're both dialed in alike)  the Tim belongs to  Tim C. , so i won't be using it live anytime soon, just borrowed it to see.
@Leech, i know right? it's daunting at first, hard to get the sound you like on the drive channel without tinkering much...

Sister B,

your pedal board didn't get a makeover, you totally threw away the old one.

Did Guitar Central influence you on this?

nice demo! :)

For the stand-alone stuff, I like the jangle of the Tim. But for the stacking capability the Ethos wins!!!
Thanks for giving me GAS! Hehe

I am pretty ok though now with a Zeek OD into a Rat (Jmorrero-overhauled)
