sa Boston Delay, I can get what I think is dotted 8th or could be really really close to the Dotted 8th delay.

Boston DD100/200
• go to mode 65ms
• don't bother with time knob
• hold pedal to enter tap mode (around 2-3 secs)
• tap in quarter
• there you will have repeats in dotted 8th. Fiddle with level and feedback knob to your taste

You can get most hillsong type delays with dotted 8th.

signal cut? Almost always on yung boston delay ko. I turn it off by rolling down the level button using my foot or shoes ^_^, kaya a while ago i was looking for alternative dun sa binebentang elesi sa "tired of bending down" thread.

tahimik ba yung dd100 mo? may natry kasi ako dati na maingay. Naghihiss yung unit. Kakagaling ko lang ng JB MOA to test another unit and dead quiet naman. Isolated case lang ba iyon or may iba pang units na maingay?

Correct me if I'm wrong pero, di ba pwede namang gawin ang Dotted 8th delay to any type of delay pedal na may 400ms and up ang delay time? I was able to use it before doon sa lumang zoom effects ko.

Digitech Digidelay ang gamit ko ngayon which my settings are at Level-3 o'clock, Repeat-lowest to 12 o'clock depende sa song, Time at 9-10 o'clock depende sa tempo ng song and the mode is at Mode number 2, then I palm mute the strings para detailed sound ng pag pluck ko sa mga strings using the pick.

Mas ok sana if I have Boss DD-5/7 for the External tap tempo switch for switching tempo..

And I guess with hillsong, iba iba na ata ang setting ng delay nila. I thing the last that I heard dotted 8th was at the song "Run".

bro base sa dinig ko iba ang modulation ng tape delay, pero depende pa din sayo, but kung sa hillsong mo gagamitin, i think digital delay ang gamit nila,i used digitech rp90 digital delay settings with 30ms then then to enhance ung delay nasa highlevel ung delay volume ko to achieve the repeats, and somtimes depends sa gamit mo na effects you have to do palmute to hear clearly the notes of the .8 delay...boss dd5/7 yan naman ang gamit nila and sa iba ng thread nakita ko dito na tc nova delay which napaka detail na ng modulation ng delay, but more i see boss dd3 is ok and 5/7,pero may iba gumagamit ngibanezdd7 looks good to hear din, siguro depende talaga sa gamit mo ng effects and guitar to gain ung gusto mo makuah sa hillsong...

Yes pede kahit sa delay na walang tap tempo or meron man tap tempo eh wala naman dotted 8th mode.

Pero ito marahil ang main concern ng thread starter, at ito rin gusto ko ma-achieve sa isang digital delay pedal. Yung creating dotted 8th note in any songs in any tempo na sakto (if not, almost). Mahirap manual i-dial dotted 8th sa slower songs, kaya mas mainam sa digital delay na meron dotted 8th mode tapos tap ka lang ng quarter notes.

some new songs.
parang dotted 8th yung gamit sa song na "King Of All days" (yung 2nd guitar na playing some clean lead stuff lower strings)

No Reason To Hide i think uses triplets. Nung una akala ko dotted 8th na mala time has come, pero kakaiba eh. hehe

Yes bro, medyo hindi puro dotted 8th hehe. Undoubtedly na usable ang dotted 8th in most praise & worship songs

may iba kasing pedals like yung gamit niyang Line6 DL4 at AFAIK yung EHX memory man w/ hazarai, qtr notes lang ang pwede sa tap tempo. dun magagamit yung pag tap sa dotted eight. :-)

haha oo nga hirap nung ginawa niya...

i'm using an ibanez de7... my range is 120-650ms...delay time is 1o'clock repeat is around 1o'clock rin tapos level 2o'clock...mode ko is echo...yung repeat and level varies sa lugar ng tutugtugan or sa laki ng amp... sorry guys di ko alam baka paranoid lang ako sa settings pero pag malaki yung venue tinataas yung level para mas lutang yung repeats nung delay eh...

Ahm, I'm using the normal delay Type which is mode 2 (Digital Delay), I think mode 4 ang Tape delay.

Thanks sa info for the delay type.  :-)

Dotted 8ths are lot easier to use if you are using a track on CDs, etc., but in live, a doubt if you can perfected it with your drummer. That is why you need a tap tempo to get in touch w/ your drummer.

this is with tap tempo ( i learned it here in the forum)

If you are in a 100ms at 4/4 beat, the key IMHO is to have an 8th note value that comes in before the beat 4 (1 and 2 and 3 and 4). When you tap that in, you have it tap right before the end of a meter.

In the setting with a tap tempo

Delay time- doesn't matter because your using a tap tempo
repeats - I usually set it up around 11:00 or whatever preferences.
Mix - 1:00
Swell effects doesn't matter, depends on your preferences

remember this is for those who doesn't have a dotted 8th note in their delays..
...it's a good thing I'm using the TC Nova delay 'cause this has a built-in .8th note settings hehehe
