Hi. Can anyone tell me which is better for starters. I'm planning to buy a nikon dslr. Iniisip ko kng d60 or d80.

Bali kpag D60 limited lng yung lense? Mga magkano ung d80? Saan din pala po s sa quiapo? Safe b doon? Wla nmn mga fake doon? Thank you.

hindi limited ang lens sa D60...mag manual focus ka lang sa mga AF-D lenses but it will work...walang fake sa Hidalgo Quiapo...LRT ka tapos baba ka Carriedo...ingat lang sa mga mandurukot...

AF-S — Autofocus-Silent. Uses a "Silent Wave Motor" (ultrasonic motor) to focus quietly and quickly. Similar to Canon's "USM" technology.
AF-I — Autofocus-Internal. Driven by a coreless DC motor. Used only in long telephoto lenses (300 mm f/2.8 through 600 mm f/4.0) starting in 1992
D — Distance. Indicated after the f-number. It means the lens is capable of using Nikon's 3D Matrix Metering on bodies that support it. The lens transmits focus distance information, which is incorporated into the camera's exposure calculations.

sa katagalan mas sulit rin ang d80. compatible dito ang lumang lenses kaya tipid.

The D80 is one of the most respected DSLR in the market, compared to D60 medyo mabagal ang response ng d60. The only bad point with the D80 is that it doesn't have an anti dust system.for the price check this link:

if you have the money, go for d80 :-)

IF you're just starting out go for nikon D40(IMHO). And if you feel you would take photography seriously na, go for D90 instead of D80. The kit lens of the D40 is great din naman yun nga lang wala siyang internal AF motor so you need an AF-S or HSM(sigma) lens para sa AF. The other nikon mount lenses na AF lang would still work but it won't autofocus. Hope it helps.

i'm using d40 too! nasa kumukuha naman yan eh..hahaha! :-)
pero seriously sir, kung gusto nyo ng D60 -- D40 nalang. i bought mine @ 21k mayer's sa hidalgo. D60 costs 26-27k pero additional sensor-cleaner (which sabi ng iba hindi naman daw ganun ka-effective... they say...), VR(vibration reduction -- which for me is not too useful since the max focal length is just 55mm -- pero still may pwede ka pa atang paggamitan nung VR for example sa night photog or kung kelangan mo talga ng mabilis na shutter speed) and extra 4MP making it 10MP. For me 10MP is too BIG.. For me, eh.. 6MP is already good. :-)
yung extra 5k mo pwedeng for accessories nalang like flash, better cam bag, cleaner, lens etc etc. Para sakin lang yun...
pero kung into photog ka talaga sir, go for D80. Mas malawak yung lens na pwedeng i-AF (autofocus) kesa sa D40 na kelangan AF-S or AF-I para makapagfocus. Plus 18-135 na lente... ayus.. kaso walang VR yun (kelangan sa focal length na 135mm). I myself have tried it. Mahirap kapag walang VR @ 135mm. Kelangan super-steady ng kamay mo... ayun..
So ayun..
my 2 cents :-)
HAPPY SHOOTING!

D80 is worth the extra mile. Its an awesome learning tool for a newbie like me.
