Did you drill the holes wider so that it can accommodate the EB superloks?

Nope, EB fits perfectly with the Hawk Leather Duane Allman replica.

Been thinking of getting these too. I am a believer of the toothpick+woodglue method when it comes to installing new strap pins though. Might prove to be too tight.

You won't need one if you'll gonna go superloks. The screw is so long it'll bite unto new wood. It's more reliable than schallers and dunlops in my experience. Too bad they don't have nickel ones.

how would you know if a Gibson Les Paul is legit?

may nag refer sa akin sa guitar center, na kung saan mkkhanap ako ng mga mgaganda at maayos pa na
used guitars,

may hinahanap ako na Les Paul Standard, usually sa truss rod cover ng Les Paul nka indicate kung
Studio, Standard, Traditional Etc..

sa name nung for sale nkalagay standard, pero while checking the pictures, sa truss rod cover e blanko lang,
pano ko ba mai-identify, bka traditional, or bka iba?

salamat sa sasagot

Studio - doesn't have body binding, older studios doesn't have fretboard binding

Standard - has modern weight relief. Newer standards has no poker chip. Has higher grade maple than the rest(except custom shop)

Traditional - has no weight relief(iirc some has swiss cheese). Lesser grade maple than std. Newer trads has abr bridge

Classic - almost same as trads. Older classics has the "classic" text on the headstock instead of "model". Most of the classic has no cover on there stock humbuckers. 2018 classics has p90s

Btw, blank truss cover are used on vintage gibsons and custom shops(except les paul custom). Kaya some upgrade to blank cover to make it look like a CS or something.

One of the easiest way to distinguish a fake paul is thru the truss rod cover. Legit gibsons has only 2 screws while fake usually has 3.

Another one is the bridge. Legits only has a "small circle" post protruding the bridge while fakes has that regular screwdriver slot thingy.

I know this is just cosmetics, but i would appreciate feedback or opinion about this. Which looks better? With PU covers or no?

Thanks!

For the looks maybe covered with the pickguard (or without). If sound output on covered vs uncovered can be distinguished, if it was me, I'd go  with the one I really like, otherwise sa covered ako.

Went with the JP look for now..

Now, is it really needed to solder this even if it’s snug in tight? Would it be fine if i just leave it unsoldered? I don’t have a good enough soldering iron, and i’m afraid i may mess up the pups if i use a low watt iron..

BTW, thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

In my experience the cover has never flown off from the pickup even when unsoldered
