Yung neo pups mo, is that the entwistle ones? Those kinda feel a bit stiff and dark IMHO. Tried to like those cause they took high gain very well. But was too clean through a clean amp. If that makes any sense. Never really bonded with it.

Kung true single coil, I highly recommend the fender avri 65, yun grey bottom. Nice warm pups for a strat. Then quarter pound bridge for the metulz!

But if you dont mind the noiseless, try mo yun dimarzio area pups. They actually feel and sound like singles without the hum. I use a 67 neck and 61 mid. Has a very nice quack.

Yes! Entwistle XS62N's and you're spot on with the description. these things take in High gain quite nicely, however sound sterile on low gain. my work around for lowgain is to have a Tranparent Overdrive always on in my chain to give it a nice OOOOMPH for those clean to breakup sounds.

so QP Bridge talga? any other suggestions before I start looking? hahaha would love a noiseless bridge + true SC neck and mid

those pups are still with me though. cause I like how it takes distortion. yun clean lang talaga, masyadong mabait. should try out your workaround when I get a strat I could test it on.

yeah bro! quarterpound panalo sa bridge! squeals like a beyotch on high gain! as in, the response to dynamics is very good! true single coil pa kamo if you're OC bout it, kasi you get to use 250 pots. just the right amount of mids for a bridge pup, without getting too muddy.

Punyeta gusto ko yung bagong American Original 50s Fender Strat! It's got my specs...(soft v neck na 9.5 radius maple fingerboard). Except for the electronics probably...parehas ata sila ng spec ng MIM na Classic Player 50s Strat, but still im digging that new one.

Got to try the new American Original 50s Straotcaster over at Ochanomizu, Tokyo last week. The neck feels good as expected (soft-v, 9.5 inch radius, vintage tall frets). Sound is ok. Its as vintage as it gets.

Its tagged as around 240,000 yen. Sweetwater sells it at 1899 USD.

AFAIK,, there are only 3 strats na may neck na ganyan ang specs and feel. Clapton Signature and the MIM Classic Player 50’s are the other two. Most Soft-v strats have 7.25 in radius.

Overall, the American Original 50s strats sounds good...mahal lang talaga knowing that i could get close to that sound and feel with an MIM Classic Player 50s Strat that is half the price. :)

I was planning to buy a Player series strat but made a partscaster instead.
Overall cost is at the same ballpark as a player series strat
Warmoth neck - maple with dark ebony fretboard and 22 SS frets
Eden Guitars Premier series Alder body - Fiesta Red
Klein Jazzy Cats pups
Gotoh vintage locking tuners
Wilkinson WV6 SB bridge assembly- i like the pop in vibrato arm
CTS pots, orange drop cap, CRL 5 way switch, Switchcraft jack, vintage clothe wires
Fender neck and jack plate and strap buttons
Plastics by Kaish
Custom made neck shim

Sir X Taxi,

I have Area 67 and Area 58 on hand for my MIM strat. To be installed on the neck and middle, respectively.  Ano remarks niyo sa Area 67 sa neck?
