to get dat real reggae feel? during gigs,soundtripping,jams
If not, any alternative?
...just wonderin' what's it without weed?....like iced tea w/out ice?..safe sex w/out condom?...black coffee with cream?..or seedless butong-pakwan? :roll:

i think it goes that you have to kill at least 1 person and offer his soul to satan to play death metal.

hahaha! seriously, you don't have to... i smoke pot before i play but the thing is im a ska/punk drummer, hindi totoo yung babagal ka pag nakasmoke ka pero mas masarap lng yung feel nung tugtugan and mas creative ako mag isip pag stoned :-D i also used to jam with peacepipe SOBER :wink: hindi din ako bumibilis, steady lng. it's all in your head

Anyway, alam ko me 2 pa silang sariling album.Gusto ko din yung kantang "Morning glory"(Peacepipe nga ba yun,o Bambu spliff?)
Baka me ma s-suggest pa kyong pinoy reggae bands....bukod sa pag inom ng kape...?! hehehe :-D

nasa sanyo naman yan e, marami akong kilala malakas gumanja. sabi ng iba feeling daw nila gumagaling sila pag naka smokes, tingin ko gumagaan lang kasi yung vibe natin pag naka smoke tayo kaya feeling natin ang lambot ng daliri, ang lagkit ng riff, ang steady ng palo pero sa totoo lang kaya mo rin talagang gawin yun kung sober ka, kaya lang mas bukas isip mo e - yung imagination mo mas wild kaya nagrereflect yun sa playing mo, kaya mas nasasarapan ka sa ginagawa mo. tingin ko ganun yun e hehehe...

tol.. mali kasi yung naging perception ng mga pinoy pag dating sa pag weeweed and playing reggae. ano ba yung root nyan? ang weed para sa rastafarians pag sinasabay sa reggae mapa reggae artist ka o nakikinig ka lang ng reggae,ay nag woworship sila. remember reggae music is a political, cultural, and spiritual music. kung hindi yun ang naiisip mo hindi mo malalaman ang tunay na kahulugan ng reggae.. mashadong malalim. you have to live the life of bob marley, peter tosh at iba pa. pero ang importante sa lahat malaman mo yung dahilan kung bakit kailangan sumindi at at tumugtog ng reggae. mas mafefeel mo ang Jah Rhythm!

kung hindi yun ang naiisip mo hindi mo malalaman ang tunay na kahulugan ng reggae.. mashadong malalim. you have to live the life of bob marley, peter tosh at iba pa. pero ang importante sa lahat malaman mo yung dahilan kung bakit kailangan sumindi at at tumugtog ng reggae.

im not saying you eat vegetables everyday like bob marley do. hehehe.. ang marijuana at reggae kung hindi mo alam kung paano pag sasabayin masisira ang buhay mo na hindi mo na lalaman. yun yung mga ng yayari sa karamihan ng mga reggae artist ska mga nakikinig ng reggae. kasi dadating yung time na maiisip mo na every time na naka marijuana ka you feel the reggae rhythm. that's wrong. kaya kung kaya mo naman makinig o tumugtog ng reggae na hindinag mamarijuana at nag eenjoy ka naman pwede na yun. may yosi ka na lng. It is not necessary for a reggae fanatic to do pot or have your hair dreadlocked. as long as you love the music, go for it.
