I'd build my own kit if I knew where to find individual drums. There aren't any specific drum brands I'm looking for... basta yung maliit lang. Minimal stuff. Maybe you could point me to the right direction? :D

I'll PM you an example on what you can explore...The classifieds section here is full of options if you want to get started...I'm just scratching the surface on what's available

Awesome setups!! That does look like a small kick drum compared to the others. Are there any differences in volume?

yes malaking difference sa tone and volume. you will get the attack but not the boom. it also felt choked when played. you have to adjust your playing to balance the sound.

that's why i suggested the traps kit.  mas malaki kasi yung area nung kick drum nya, it felt much much better than a 16" jungle kit. kung hindi traps, at least get 18" kick - yung tama imperial star maganda tunog kesa pearl target.

oooohhhh i just remembered. tip ko na sa inyo mga pre kung may makikita pa kayo na gumagawa ng acrylic drums. the best material for kick drums is acrylic! pagawa kayo ng 16" acrylic kick - it will kick ass

this is my first 'mini' kit - 18" kick, 8" snare, 14" tom

this 18kick sounded like a 22

I always loved the Yamaha Rick Marotta Hipgig kit.  Upside --  everything can be carried in one trip -- the toms fit inside the kick drum, all hardware inside the throne and cymbals in a bag.  Kick drum and throne/case come with bags which could be slung over the shoulders.  Downside -- pricey.
Veni, Vici, Velcro....I came, I saw, I stuck around.

The Ludwig Jr. Kit is for 6 year olds, while the Pearl one is just a smaller fusion kit. Huge diff! Check the Tama one too, it looks nice. But FWIW the Pearl Target Jr. Snare sounds really great even with stock heads  :-D

FWIW . . . check the video  :)
