Here's what happened. I accidentally plugged the main adaptor of my power supply directly to one of my pedals. It won't work with my psu anymore. I can still use it with a 9v battery though.

Can it still be repaired?

Thank you

What pedal is it? If it still works with a 9v battery, then it's good to know that the pedal itself is still working. I believe it can be repaired to work with the PSU/dc jack again.

 Thanks for the reply sir.

It's my newly acquired EHX silencer pedal.

Any idea on how much the repair is going to cost?

Thanks again.

Welcome! I can't give you a quotation, though, as I have no idea myself. I can recommend PIE for pedal repairs/mods. Perhaps you can inquire with them. :)

Any suggestion/recommendation for an analog delay pedal that would allow me to control the level/volume of the first repeat? I hope to be able to get a very subtle, almost unnoticeable first repeat with any succeeding repeats lower than the first.

TIA!

not sure if it applies, but how about the DYNAMIC/DUCKING delay of TC electronic Delays? (i.e. Flashback)

^ I also have a TC electronics delay (nova repeater) and have the same Dynamic delay option. The volume of your repeats depend on how hard you plucked the strings.

^Thanks for the info, guys.  :)

Please allow me to tweak my original question a bit: What delay pedal (analog preferably) will allow me to have a first repeat that is at most only about 70% (or lower) volume of the original signal regardless of pick attack?

All of the delay pedals that I have owned/played would have a first repeat that is almost as loud as the original signal. I am hoping to get the volume of the 2nd or 3rd repeat only for my 1st repeat.

Do I make any sense?  :-D

thanks again and other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mejo nagiging claro na. followup question, yung 2nd and third repeat, louder than 1st ba? or simula 1st repeat to the third, 70% ang volume?

kasi kung hinahanap mo is 1st repeat lang ang mahina, pero yung subsequent repeats will be louder, I think the Dynamic/Ducking Delay of TC's FLASHBACK Delay will be a perfect fit. regardless of pick attack, the first repeat will be  around 60-70% of the original volume, then the subsequent repeats will be as loud as the original signal, or dependent on the setting of the FX LEVEL knob on the pedal.

if you're looking for a delay were all subsequent repeats would be softer than the original signal, then, any delay pedal with an FX LEVEL Knob will be able to cater to your need.

as for an analog delay pedal option, I don't think there is a FULL analog delay pedal which can provide dynamic/ducking delay capabilities. an analog pedal would be a garbage in garbage out type of effect

^ I also have a TC electronics delay (nova repeater) and have the same Dynamic delay option. The volume of your repeats depend on how hard you plucked the strings.

I don't think the dynamic delay of NOVA is the same as TC Flashback if that is your description. TC Flashback's Dynamic Delay will decrease the volume of the first repeats regardless of picking attack.

^Yeah, subsequent repeats should be softer than the first repeat.

Iba pa ba ang FX level sa plain level lang? Is the former a wet/dry mix knob?

I have chino's former DBD pero di makuha yung exact level I want. Big jump from too soft to the next level kahit parang di gumalaw yung level knob.  :-D

Thanks, Ralph, for all your inputs!

yes. its a wet/dry knob. TC also give you the option to kill your dry signal or keep it in via DIP switches inside the pedal (remove backplate).

you're welcome brother, hopefully you find the "one" soon! :D

Kaya ba ng Vox AC15C1 ang crunch tone ng Semi-Charme life ng Third Eye Blind? Ang gamit yata nila ang Vox AC30. I guess I am asking a low volume crunchy Vox AC30 variant.

I think they should sound similar. mas madali lang mararatnig nung AC15 yung breakup, so I guess yan nga yung hanap mo.

mukhang nakita ko yang ads ng AC15C1 na yan.  :-D

Oo dre keri. According sa history of Vox amps. AC15 was the father and AC30 was the junior in terms of which one was first released. Been reading also some articles about VOX amps before. AC30 was made because AC15 was too small for big gigs. So IMO keri yan.

Dry signal = signal coming from your guitar (raw sound)
Wet signal = processed sound from your guitar through effects.

I have a morley tremonti wah na di gumagana sa onespot or godlyke psu. Tinry ko dalin kay mang raul kasi akala ko sira yung wah mismo(ok kasi yung iba kong pedals sa chain kahit godlyke yung gamit ko). Sinaksak niya lang sa generic psu niya and gumagana na yung wah. Any similar incidents like mine? Anong psu nyo for your morley tremont wah?
