suggest kolang mga chief mas ok din db if we get to know each other through a live shoutbox... parang chat board... lalo na kung may mga important messages tau, madaling maipapaalam through a shoutbox... siempre pinaka dabest is to build camaraderie db mga chief? see example below:

i disagree. putting an important message in a shoutbox (where the message will immediately get buried by the sheer number of messages that will be posted) is worse than putting in a thread.

well, siempre dapat yung kausap mo is online too so he can watch YOUR message ON TIME (coz basically, hindi lang naman CGURO kau ang gagamit ng SB)... thats the purpose of a shoutbox... you know, people chatting?.. (though siempre my rules din for flooding, profanities, etc.)... what im after were for URGENT msgs to be known by the person your talkin' to RIGHT AT THAT TIME... and vice versa... but in anyway mater, i respect you for that, if you want your message to be discreet, then PM monalang cguro ung kausap mo... :wink: anyway, its just my opinion, chief... thanks for the comment...

Useful nga ang shoutbox for urgent messages. Pero I think the necessity of the shoutbox will rely on whether or not it will take some load out of Philmusic's servers, dahil malamang mababawasan ang useless comments sa threads.

nice comment chief inigo... yeah, probably it'll cost something in regards of our forum's proxy server... sana lalo pa taung lumawak para mapilitan c admin na palakihin ang PS bandwidth :-D wakokokoko... (pero teka, no need na yata dahil billionaire naman YATA c chief admin e :-D)... sarap din kc kpag-live na live ang forum through a SB db? :wink:

tingin ko malabo parekoi, baka bumagal lalo ang server naten. sobra traffic pag ganun. maganda pa siguro add mo na lang sila sa YM. :)

This has been considered, but it's too resource intensive. That's why facebook exists. Most forums do not do chat anyway. The most they have is a shoutbox.

Mas mahirap i-moderate yung chat in my opinion.

The chat function will blow up here in PM especially when someone started a fire like "my pedals here can kick all of your pedal's !$% in your store".

suggestion lang sana sir. san magkaroon ng ganito, para yung mga queries ng ating fellow forumers na madaling sagutin, yung di na kailangan gawan ng thread para 'di narin masyado hassle(i think). if possible lang naman, pero mukang dagdagserver load yun. thanks!

In addition to what you said, pampabawas din ang chatbox ng mga walang kwentang threads, dahil doon na mangungulit ang mga makulit na may short attention span.
Hindi ba may mga free chatboxes naman?

Para mas maging maganda yung communication ng mga members at mas makilala natin ang isa't isa ng mas klaro. kumbaga kung may chat room or box. Diba mas maganda? hehe.. Well i guess malabo talaga... we're the only ones! haha!! no responses means "No" right? Haha! oks lang. Kahit yung profile page lang sana para di ka na maghahanap kung what's up with that guy. Ang tagal kasi pag maghahanap ka pa ng particular post. Kalat kasi eh. comment lang mga ma'am sir.

Di ako si qen, pero yup. Magpa-pop up yan pero hindi separate window or tab. Within the same window rin.

Yep, every subforum is an individual chatroom. And if you browse a topic, it'll be another chatroom.

* hindi ba sya maliliitan, lets say kasing laki ng chat panel ng fb? parang masyado kasing malaki, kitang kita ng boss ko kapag naka open. hehe

1 - Initial Load ng PM will display the main chat window (default enabled pero pwede ioff)

2 - Whenever user will navigate to a sections (ex: anything goes) mag minimize yung main chat window to give way to the sub chat window

this is nice, i've considered this...
i guess the reason why i put it as a float tab thingy, is to make sure that i as a user has the option to focus on either the forum or the chat ....
i am not sure if i make any sense :P
