RJ tube amp? review???
« on: December 20, 2013, 03:13:34 PM »
Dropped by RJ this last monday, and I saw they have RJ tube amps...

It was for only 17k head + cab (60w)

I forgot to ask to which amp it was inspired (san kinopya)

And I couldn't try it out myself, di ako ineentertain nung tao sa RJ.

Baka may naka try na dito? nadadala ako ng mura eh :(

AND kasali pala sya dun sa super sale ng RJ... badtrip.
And baby if I need to, yeah I will keep you in the corner of my eye...

Feeling ko, flop yan.

At that price point, I'd rather go with the Ibanez TSA series. Or even with a Goldea amp.

RJ tube amp? review???

I tried an RJ tube amp several years back. The clean tone made me buy the rj raven for my nephew. I didn't buy the amp. Years later, I considered buying an rj tube amp but I found the price uncompetitive and is better off buying a used tube amp in the ads.

its not really a tube amp, its a solid state amp that has a tube in the preamp (at least that's how it felt like). sales people had no clue.

so yup, tried it. not worth it. nuff said.

Id just go for a Goldea. Lahat ng RJ stuff na nabili ko sablay eh, so I've learned that they simply cannot make reliable sh1t lol.  Also, Goldea has been gaining a slow and steady international following in other forums, especially yung REX series nila.

Pero baka okay sya, malay mo. But I wouldnt even dare risk it knowing what a flop the RJ brand is in general. (sorry RJ)  :-(

So many options now, TBH. There are Goldeas, and the Laney Cubs are really good. Peavey's offerings are good too.
I'd rather be sharp than flat.
