The Summertime Blues series officially ends tomorrow with JOOK JAM IN a juke joint-style party.

*May nasagap ako na makikigulo si Sarah at si Aki sa mikropono. At malamang eh meron pang ibang sasali sa gulo.

'twas an alco-party like no other, ngayon ata pinakamaraming umuwi with a "slur"! Si Zann, dalawang beses natulog!

kay leo, nato and sarah, kedy, john, lito, ang bandang plug, odie, kakoy, zann, joel, andres, dondon and the other bassman, salamat sa pagsali sa jam. sa mga di ko na maalala, sensya na at malamang pa-umaga na kayo sumali!

sabi nga ni af_villaruel, back-to-school naman!!!

kudos to Backdoor Blues Cafe for keeping the blues spirit alive in our current bar scene! good music, food and great company!

also, congratulations on the completion of the series. hope this continues so more generations young and younger (like me) would learn to appreciate and more likely be able to educate themselves more in this kind of music.

Thanks for a rousin' night.  Tama ang kutob ko, hindi ko dapat pinalampas ang gabing iyon.  Umuusok ang mga musiko buong gabi hanggang inumaga.   Iba na talaga ang nagagawa ng masayang samahan at ng alak.

Pagrab ng ilang pix, ha?  At tulad ng naipangako ko sa inyo, post ko sa multiply in a while yung first stint ng Jook Ham na nakasama ako.

Tama ka, Kedy!  Even I remarked to one of the guests na SPECIAL talaga yung kagabi and swerte sya na-tyempuhan nya yun.  SPECIAL as in may ube and leche flan, may ice cream pa!


GRABEEEE!  I lost count of how many songs were played. Sa Jook Jam pa lang parang 3 to 4 sets na yun.  Plug played 2 mini-sets.  If you add the jammers, almost another set worth.  Whew!

It was also the most fun I had in a long time at a gig.  Talagang dumating ang friends ng Backdoor at ni birthday_boy, este, backdoor_man.  Saya ng companionship, practical jokes, alaskahan, kwentuhan, kainan, at inuman (altho I was the only one sober ).


PS:  Natawa ako dun sa isang caption ng picture. "Human emoticon!"  Life imitating art.  LOL talaga.

if i am an independent bassist without any band or do not know anyone from the scene, would i still be able to jam sa cafe?  papano po at sino pong pwedeng mksabayan? i really love to jam with anyone.. pero ala po akong kilala eh. bring your own gear po ba kayo jan? looks like you guys are having some great fun.
