NIN To Play Araneta Coliseum

Got to see Trent, Josh, Robin, Alessandro, and Justin tear it up on the first US date of the Lights In The Sky tour.  Aside from the strong songs focusing on the last two vocal albums Year Zero and the phenomenal (and free download) The Slip, smatterings of the purely instrumental (and also free download) Ghosts I-IV were high points of the show.  Of course you'll still get to hear classics like Head Like A Hole and even standout tracks from The Downward Spiral sprinkled throughout the set.

The other reason to see the show is the outstanding moving visual screens and various electronic displays onstage.  It's been featured on an issue of Wired magazine some few months ago.

This show isn't to be missed.  Trent plans to go on hiatus from music for the foreseeable future (hopefully to finally work on the accompanying Year Zero film) after the international tour.  He's on the road in the US with Jane's Addiction in tow right now.

I think everyone else from last year's tour will be back though.

Speaking of NIN, I'm still in the middle of downloading a fan-edited concert from last year in Portland, OR.  NIN provided all of the raw camera angle footage and the fan diligently assembled it the way he saw fit and uploaded it for everyone else to share.  If you've got a way to seed torrents, it would greatly help to spread this one around.

josh actually left last dec 2008, just the end of the lights in the sky tour.. sobrang sayang di tayo umabot dun.. ilan rubin is their drummer, he is 20yo! best job for a 20 year old!!
