try Tubescreamer->5150 or Jet City->your taste of cabinet and mic->Tube Compressor
though yung crucial part yung mic placement, try mo na lang adjust pag mixing process na  :)

ok din.. no need na si noise clamp
Musicians are not mathematicians. feeling and soul over speed and technique

What i like sa EMGs is that low noise siya compared sa passives. Cleans up well. What model is that?

Getting an 8 string tom on a trade ibanez rga8qm
Love the color and maple top, since all my prs custom 24 6 strings have maple tops, I had a schecter hell raiser 8 with emg 808 didn't like it and sold it, I'm giving 8 strings another try will be ordering sd blackouts 8 as well :)
What string gauges do you guys use , I'm choosing between GHS 10-80 or GHS 11-85 since I'm a GHS distributor I have access to their variety of sets
Will be using the 8 string on my axe fx 2 rig :)

Updates:  swapped my Schecter Damien Elite 8 to Ibanez Iron Label RGIR28Fe.

Verdict: Missed my Schecter since it's a bit shorter but fills more solid. My new Ibby Iron Label is flatter and much more lighter so it's easier to carry.

Sound: Damien Elite 8 has a much heavier and cleaner sound with the EMG 808's since it's mahogany plus it's modded to 18 volts, Iron Label 8 also comes with EMG 808's but I think the sound is leaking out since it's basswood and the grains is much more porous.

solution- I'll also mod it to 18volts, hopefully it will do the trick :)

Upping the thread for this particular Schecter model I found on the net yesterday.

http://www.schecterguitars.com/international/guitars/banshee-elite-7-detail

The feature/price ratio seems very, very good, even compared to Ibanez Japan models. There aren't many reviews of it on the net yet, but I would sure like to try one out if I chance upon one here.

Here's a list of nonstandard features that I think make this model a winner:

*neck through design
*ebony fretboard
*carbon reinforcement rods
*jumbo stainless steel frets
*locking tuners

Guitars which have at most three or four of these features are usually Music Man-to-boutique level pricing, but this is actually currently retailing for slightly more than a thousand dollars, which places it in the Mexican Fender/Ibanez Prestige territory.

Is this a good time to be guitar gear buyer or what? #gas  :)

Ambient Metal

ok lang naman siguro ang 074s kung di naman wobbly and muddy ang output

pero since ambient ang riffs nyo, 064s will do just fine, higher register compared sa 074s na too low na.

you can correct me guys
