@ gandy

actually papi trip ko din jimny matagal na. it's small, i don't mind it being small kaso kung medyo family assault vehicle e super sikip talaga. it can prolly carry two grown men in comfort, pero not much more. ansikip kasi, maybe it doesn't help na i have long legs haha

@ ME-30

oo papi masaya yan, kaso ang hirap na compromise niyan naisip mo. i've tried, a lot of my friends have tried as well...unless your family will put up with the hard suspension, constant sayad, loud exhaust and other "racing" maintenance woes then by all means yes!

yung box ko is my all around vehicle too, the only time my family rides on it is during grocery weekends, which is at most, twice a month. so i can pretty much get away with it being less than comfy than most modern sedans, but then again, it's an old school car with a live axle, can't really expect independent type suspension comfort. and i only need it to go as fast as i want it to, hindi naman ako nakikipag karera so i don't need it to be an "SiR KILLER", it's loads fun as it is for me

oo nga nuh sir. hindi nga pala madaling i-balance ang pagiging comfy sa sporty.

OT: dream car ko 'yung Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 TDI kasi sedan pero diesel engine, which is inaasahan ko na matipid.  :-\

Hi. Balak ko kasing magpaturo sa dad ko magdrive this comming vacation. Wala kasi nagamit ng sasakyan namin kasi sa Ilocos sya nakadestino. (we're from batangas) Maluluma lang to at tsaka lagi kaming nagcocommute lalo na pag sundays. Pwede na ba kong kumuha ng lisensya kahit 16 pa lang? Any tips sa pagddrive kasi manual car namin and nanunood din ako ng basics sa YT kaso nahihirapan ako dun sa 'Joystick'. Sorry for the term. Nalimutan ko na ang tawag. Haha. Thanks!

I think kung makakakuha ka man being 16 y/o baka student's permit lang..

nobody can teach more than a good driver.. yung sa youtube kasi ti will just give you an idea of what to expect.. pero iba pa rin ang hands-on training, so its either get somebody (a relative or friend) that will teach you or go into a driving school.

and its also good to learn to drive using conventional manual transmission.. there will come a time na mawawala na yan so better enjoy it while its still here.

Ah. Kambyo pala hahah. Try ko din magtanong tanong sa mga driving schools dito. Pag nakabisado mo na daw ang manual, oks ka na pag lumipat ka sa automatic. Yun ang sabi ni itay :P thanks sa infos.

good idea papi, cars that are stored for prolonged periods tend to develop problems when you do get around to using them. in a personified sense, nagtatampo sila.

i think 16 you can apply na for a student license, and kung walang magtuturo sa yo, a driving school is the next logical choice. your erpats is right, when you are familiar with driving stick, automatics will be a walk in the park.

enjoy mo when you get behind the wheel, let freedom rev!

i like the SX4's shape! sana nga maka drive ako ng ganyan hehe i'd tried driving a friend's focus with the a/t na may parang tiptronic din - good lord mas mabilis na daliri ni eric clapton than using it to shift "manually"

@ ME-30

oo sir, pero para sa akin who places great joy in spirited driving, ayos ang sporty suspension! given more space to park another car i plan on building an old school hoon machine or a kanjo style car  :-D

GUys okay ba Mazda Familia saw an ads sa sikat na "ano hanap mo" site 60k lang 1997 model, my uncle suggest to me na bumile daw muna ako ng pag-practisan ko na car since di pa ako marunong para daw di nakakaiyak pag nagasgasan or something happens.

i suppose it is a good practice car that you can learn with, para pag well honed na skillz mo, less likely na magkaproblem with a brand new car!

it would be better to study driving as soon as possible, iba na rin yung may naiiwan sa inyo na marunong magdrive (for emergency purposes).

nga pala, i was able to get a driving license when i was 15.... ok i'm bad, we pulled some strings to get it done.

ang case naman nung sa akin, 20 ako nung nag-apply for a student license, pero after 6 months, i jumped from student to professional (dapat student to non-pro muna eh tapos maghihintay ulit ng 4 to 5 months bago makapag-apply ng professional). spend P2200 to get a license.

mahal nga eh sir. pero tingin from application fee, license fee, comp fee, eye test, exam w/answers, skip the actual test, restrictions (1 2 3 ang kinuha ko), id, hindi ko alam kung how much is which pero umabot ng P2200. mas mura talaga magpa-lisensya that time kasi mataas pa po ang value ng pera noon..
