ey claude - i have a TM60 but it's analog, not tube. i like the clean to slightly dirty sounds on it best but, yeah, it'd be a great gigging amp. use the amp as a monitor and then use the line out to feed a cab-simmed signal to the board.
where are you buying yours?

it's a solid state amp... not tube... and from what i've heard, one of the best 60-watter ss amp

whats a SOLID state amp?
and wat du u mean by this
"use the amp as a monitor and then use the line out to feed a cab-simmed signal to the board."

oh boy...

whats a SOLID state amp?
claude, i can be typing here for 2 days and still not quite cover it. just google those keywords (eg, "solid state vs. tube guitar amplifers") and read up as much as you can. at the end of the day you'll find out that solid state amps try to emulate the sound and response of tube amps. a TM60 gets pretty close, IMO.

by this i meant that you can use the TM60 itself to hear yourself on-stage. at the same time you can make a connection from the back of the amp (line out) to go to the mixing board and PA system. in short, you can go for the tone you want at the volume you like (if your bandmates cooperate), no need to mike your amp, and your audience can hear what you are hearing and vice versa.

ahem...cough cough
i had a problem with mine and di ko sya ginagamit meaning nasa bahay lang and well now its nothing but a piece of crap. Sorry but that amp has been the worst decision i made money wise. HK$5500 down the drain.
Di ko na maisip iparepair coz i dont want to spend anymore money on it.
Im basically getting rid of all tech21 products i bought (just shipped an acoustic di sa baguio to trade for a DM-100 delay machine) No more tech21 for me...no siree

hey pallas - remember my tm60? tech21 repaired it for free. sinagot ko lang shipping pabalik dito since the previous owner was nice enuff to shoulder the cost of shipping to US.
it sounds and works great now... so far.
hope you have better luck in future with ur stuff...
-
oh boy...
hehe... i couldn't help but feel responsible since i brought it up! :-)
-
para sa mga tamad mag google...
solid state amps --> uses transistors
tube amps --> uses vacuum tubes
additional info:
valve amps = tube amps... it's just a difference in notation... the brits call it "valve", the americans call it "tube".
pallas,
magkano benta mo sa tm60?
