hindi ba boring ser?
actually it IS boring. i can't sit through all 3 hours without dozing off. nakatulog nung gumawa siya ng mga linear rolls. haha. pero useful siya, wag mo lang panuorin ng derecho. hehehe.
critique ko lang, parang siniksik niya talaga lahat ng alam niya sa isang dvd, kaya parang ambilis ng ibang topics. at sana mas nag-focus siya sa technique niya especially foot technique. di man lang niya na-explain yung swivel thing niya. sinabi lang niya "just do a different motion". it's so vague because he doesn't say what this actually is. i'm with derek roddy on that instead of being too worried about technique and being on forums all day, just go practice and find out what works for you because technique comes naturally and that someone else's technique might not necessarily work for you. BUT, i, as a viewer, would still want to know what one of my favorite drummer's technique is because maybe i can incorporate it or try it out.
... but pirates can't complain, so i'll stfu now.
good dvd, but somewhat unfocused.
at least mas ok siya kesa dun sa dvd ni flo mounier. i only learned one thing on that dvd which is that the thing about blastbeats is that you can try anything, the important thing is the consistent snare sound. the rest of the dvd is him showing off by launching into solos and some exercises similar to virgil donati's.
