REAPER QUESTION
« on: June 11, 2012, 11:51:57 PM »
Guys, pwede ba sa reaper yung iduplicate ung isang mono track then isplit to stereo yung isa then iassign sa right .

why not just duplicate the track then pan one hard left and the other hard right. you can then bounce these into a single stereo track. i don't know why you would want to do this since it would be a stereo but still mono sounding track.

how are you monitoring? what is your signal path? did you check your output connections? more often than not, it is a configuration problem first, and a hardware problem second. most software default to a stereo output. very rarely have I seen one that does not define any I/O on initial start-up.

Okay, this is what you do.  You duplicate the right (or left) channel, pan hard left and right so you have both info on both channel.  Delay one channel about 10 millisecond, making sure that the effect is not a delay totally but an enhancement of your mono sound.  Adjust to taste until you get a pseudo separation you like.

Ok din po ito to have a bit of 3D effect & channel separation.. Now there are other ways din po to achieve 3D effects & a bit of channel separation thru mixing:
  • puwede din po medyo ibahin ang frequency ng both channel (left and right channel).. medyo high frequency ang isang channel then medyo low frequency yun isang channel..
  • puwede din pong tight yun isang channel then expanded naman yun isang channel..

Enjoy recording bro!

We DO NOT condone any form of piracy here! And why do you need the key? Reaper just nags you if you don't want to buy it. It'll still work regardless.

This would cause phasing, won't it? Personally, I would route the mono guitar track through an aux bus with stereo fx. Could always bounce that track if needed.
