Holy Grail tone: Slash's lead tone, Zakk Wylde's "No More Tears" rhythm tone.
Paul Gilbert. He sounds like a newbie but plays like a god.
In the case of some guitarists, you need to be specific which era or album referred to. Example: Beano/Cream-era Clapton vs 80s/90s Clapton. current Buddy Guy vs 50s Buddy Guy. pre-Baker/Diezel oasgomez vs current oasgomez.
Robben Ford and the uber ismuuuth lead tones. I'm sure a lot of guys like the super creamy smooth buttery compressed <insert more adjectives> neck tones, but there's a certain treshold where it starts to bug me. Santana can be in this category sometimes for me.
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones
Hmmmm... anyone wt over the top scooped mid na hindi naman metal ang tugtog....otherwise hate is a strong word dont have to hate what i dont like.
don't like anything that's scooped and too processed(that generic 80's metal/glam sound). understandable if used in metal as it calls for it, but generally don't like them.good tone for me = paul kossoff, joe bonamassa, leslie west, montrose
Never fails to excite me. (Minus the tight pants)
hmmm..... eric johnson? just the tone but his playing is great.
Early PNE?Alam ko ang hassle ng magrecord gabi-gabi sa 6UG pag maraming kids sa entablado.
90's tone ng opm metal bands? parating may flanger? right?
I don't like Vai's tone. Para sakin ang payat.

Have you listened to "Alien Love Secrets"?
Oo nga nagtataka ako eh. Ang kapal ng tone ni Vai pero napapayatan si OPay. Different ears = different tastes talaga
Malmsteen. (Is his tone venerated?)
