wow! nice to see fellow strobists here! ang gaganda ng mga shots! i wish i can be that comfortable shooting people using off-camera flashes...

I've been eyeing on that starving student strobist lighting kit and would like to know if it's a good kit to have.

ISO 400 F/2.8 1/25sec

ISO 200 F/5.0 1/55sec

I forgot kung ano set-up namin. Basta 2 flash yung isa bare at yung isa may shoot thru umbrella.

Always trial and error po ang settings when it comes to off-cam lighting (unless my light meter). Hmm...

i agree, it's interesting to see how these beautiful pics are lit..

as for the starving student strobist kit (is this the one from MPEX?) that was my kit, and it's good.. it's got everything you need plus enough for some DIY stuff.. i got the 1-light wireless kit without the flash (since i already have a flash) and the materials are of good quality.. though i think you could save more if you get the "without the flash" kit and look for cheaper, full manual flashes..

@rennell: magaling magaling... sakto sa hairlight... 3d effect... using 2 flashes...

and tama ka... yun nakakainis, trial and error sa lighting pero worth it naman ang effort...
