Guys our world is ever changing. New technology and trends keeps the music industry live and well.
There are a lot of new products that go out to the market.

Let me star with this: Someone posted the new speed cobras here in philmusic. Many including me thought it was fake. But Tama released their new product last summer at the 2010 NAMM. here is a video from youtube of the new speed cobras. wah. outdated na ang Iron Cobra ko. T.T

hmmm long board na siya agad. if thats the case then pearl's demon drive has more adjustable features. and kinaganda lang nitong pedal na ito is it has the spring in the bottom of the board cobra clutch nga ba un? pero aside from that i think pearl did a better job on their pedal.

Hindi ok na basis yung adjustability ng pedal para sabihin na maganda. I think even the most basic pedal is adjustable enough to meet everyone's needs. imo when judging a pedal mas importante yung feel, stability at durability

So this is like the 3rd gen iron cobra?

1st there was the 90s iron cobra.
then the 2nd gen good looking iron cobras..

....

then.. the speed cobra.. hehe..

hindi ko trip ang design.. pero sana ok yung features.

Its actually the 4th gen.  :-) the old ones- Silver with Tama written on the foot board.
2nd is the "good looking"
3rd is the "good looking" with cobra coil and added features

then the Speed Cobras.

I think, the feel of the pedal is the basis for all drummers if they want to buy it. Sure the demon drive is more visually stunning plus it has more adujstability features. Pero once you get the feel that you want aanhin mo pa ung maraming adjustabillity features niya?  :-D

Lets just wait and see. Wana try these babies na!

stability and durability of course, and i know that tama's pedals are solid tlga but it doesnt mean that the demon drive is not stable and durable. kadalasan kasi nakikita natin na mas malaki ung mga iron cobra and so is this new pedal pero it doesnt mean pearl's demon drive is not stable. its sleek look might make it look like its not going to step up against the speed cobra but it doesnt mean its going to be wobbly and unstable and what not. im just saying na if you can get both stability and durability with both pedals maganda na rin ung sa sulit ung pera mo, just in my own opinion.

Haven't tried the demon drive yet but being pearl's flagship pedal, I'm sure it's durable and stable. I reread my post...muka nga i gave the impression na hindi stable at durable yung demon drive...apologies for this. What I was trying to say is  choose the demon drive over other pedals because of features that really matter. say, choose it over the iron cobra because you prefer direct drives over chain driven pedals
