Coldplay- what do you think of them or their music?

I don't understand why some people think that Coldplay is for Gay or they're too boring. One things for sure, those people who hate them is not matured music-wise. Kc kung "Musician" ka, maiintindihan mo yung tugtog nila at maappreciate mo. Dami kc ditong stuck up sa isang genre lang na parang yun lang ang music sa mundo. No offense pero yun a ng observation ko. Ako, I listen to all genres, from metal to pop-rock and I appreciate them all because they are music. Cguro pag nag-mature na cla music-wise and they listen to Coldplay, they'll finally understand they're music.

I totally agree. Back in college I hardly ever appreciated their music and like the rest of the people in this thread, I found them quite boring. Maybe it was my exuberant nature when I was still a student that made me think this way. Gusto ko yung music na mapapatalon at mapapaindak ako. But I guess musical maturity came with age and eventually I was able to appreciate their songs, and finally love them. Their music is simple, stripped down, melodic and very honest, and no, I don't even find Chris Martin hot.

I love how they are able to express this sentimental side of human nature despite the "gay" comments of other people. Just because they play sensitive music doesn't mean they're gay.

And if they are, so what?

Only real men are able to express what they really feel. Yung mga masyadong pa-macho, sila yung insecure.

i'm not really a big fan of coldplay but i still have their songs in my player. the only song i really love is "sparks."

I don't know what it is with coldplay that makes me want to listen to them only when i'm super sad.

Coldplay is not boring.. iba iba lang talaga ang taste ng tao! kaya nga may iba ibang genres..

basta for me, as of this moment ang type kong song is yung makakapagimagine ako while writing.. na makakabuo ako ng isang scene sa mind ko through that song..

You suck because you don't appreciate their music. As a musician (if you're really a musician) you should appreciate all genre and not be stucked with metal genre. That is if you're a real metal dude and not a goddamn poser wearing testament t-shirt but don't know who they are or haven't listened to them. you dig?

Hindi din ako fan ng Coldplay but as a musician I appreciate the way they play and their lyrics are amazing...Try to understand how they make a song and you'll know some reasons why they are one of the top British band and a favorite in other countries, as a matter of fact, Gwyneth Paltrow fell in love with their vocalist because of his/their lyrics (which IMO is very poetic)...Peace guys...

for me, kahit funk ang genre ko, i love coldplay. i love their music and lyrics. medyo dark & gloomy ang lyrics nila pero for me astig pa rin. clocks, the scientist, god put a smile on your face, just a few songs na trip na trip ko. yes, nakakantok ang tugtugan nila, pero if you will listen and put yourself on their songs, ako minsan nakaka relate sa  mga songs nila. well, kanya kanya lang trip yan. pero definitely, they are one of the foreign acts na di lang puro angas at ingay. just my opinion brothers

+100. if you're really a true musician, you will not stuck with 1 genre. i admit noong younger years ko puro death metal lang ako, i hate hiphop, etc. pero nung nag banda na ako, i realize na kailangan mo i-appreciate yung all forms of music. now i listen to pop, rock, jazz, funk, etc. except sa andrew e. tunes
