eto yung sa nikon:

d50-down >>entry level (beginners)
d70-up >> enthusiasts to semi-pro
d200 - up >> semi-pro to pro
d2x - up >> pro

don't be fooled, may nabasa ako na mas ok daw d40 kaysa d50 though di ko pa nattry.. pero d40 ang suggestion na second camera for d70/d80 users.. ang limitations nga lang (as lectured to me by dre) yung lens kit at AF mode..

what about the lense kit and AF mode??? nagtanong ako dito sa macao and its 5000MOP(currency dito bale times 6.5) and they said its NIKON D40 Kit. When you say kit ba, it includes what??? I dont know much bout the terminologies eh.

The D40 kit (with lens) comes with a Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II lens. Ok na itong lens for General Photography. If you want more information, go to Ken Rockwell's site... Then start saving up for the 18-200mm VR... hehehe

« Reply #129 on: March 14, 2007, 09:46:47 AM »
Good day po.

like yun sa tronix, kodak etc.?
yun pag nilagay mo yun camera memory card or bluetooth man
automatic lalabas lahat ng pics sa screen in thumbnails
then you can mark the box kung na pwedeng 3 copies yun isa and
the rest is 1 copy lang and on that same window, i think sa right side of the window
may controls na pwede mo narin i-adjust yun brightness, contrast, crop and rotate the photo.
in printing naman, you can choose the sizes, 3R, 4R & wallet size then you can print everything
with the adjustments you made.

thank you very much po.

chong walang skool na photography dito sa pinas.. workshops meron.. pero ang mga workshops ngayon puro digital na ang tinuturo.. kailangan kasi matutunan mo talaga yung basics tulad ng paggamit ng film and yung mga camera na luma dahil dun din galing yung mga features sa mga digicam ar automatic analog cameras.. kung gusro mo paturo ng basics text mo ako 09215298079.. hindi ako mashadong magaling but i promise you you'll learn a lot.

teka sir. i think merong photography school sa pilipinas. saracosa yata or something.

hehe. just sharing.

How can you express your talent kung wala kang gear? kailangan mo talagang mag-invest sa digital photography. pwede ka maghiram muna kung may magpapahiram sa iyo ng DSLR. (pakilala mo rin sa akin, a...)

Kung may interest ka, at kahit entry level yung cam mo, you can still produce excellent pics...

alam mo sir sa guitar pwede sana ung ganun n a very minimal gear just like what im doing pero sa photography i think its not a bad idea naman to invest eh. kasi ibang l;evel and photography eh. kasi at the end of the day its the pictures that matters and with the gear that i have yes i con produce good pictures but it would be BETTER kung ma up ko ung level ko.

thanks for the advice.

hi peeps,

im kinda new in photography and i would like to know what i should look for in terms of features,  functionalty and versatility when buying an entry level DSLR. And also the price range of an entry level DLSR.

The Nikon D40... It's really aimed at DSLR newbies. It even has a tutorial mode in the menu that teaches you the basics of using DSLRs... around 33-5k at Columbia Digital stores... 28k At Quiapo...

Depending on your budget the D40 or the D50 are decent entry level DSLR's. The body constructions feels somewhat lightweight and toy-like though. If you can find a old D70 or D70s then you will start to move into pro-like camera's. If your wallet allows look seriously into the D80 which is to some photographers comparable to the D200! BTW I'm a Nikon user.
