Rizal Dondi Ledesma is the father of Filipino Progressive Rock.
He mastered bass guitar at an early age and has collaborated with Pinoy Rock giants such as Asin, Anakbayan, Wally Gonzalez, Pepe Smith and Mike Hanapol. Dondi has produced nine independent albums of his own music which he records in his personal private studio.
With the dawn of the World Wide Web, he began to use every website available to promote his own music. This international exposure gained him fans among aficionados of Progressive Rock and Bass Guitar virtuosos. He also won a few contests where he competed against fellow contestants from all over the world
Dondi has cancer and is not in good condition. Dondi Ledesma has recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the lung. One of the tumors had pressed against his spinal cord causing paralysis from chest down. He will soon begin chemotherapy. He has already received radiation.
