Epiphone es 335 or Epiphone LP standard?

masters, which is better? im kinda looking for a long term guitar. btw ill be using it in our church. so mejo light lang pero gusto ko rin ung ok sa distortion? which is which? kasi nagcanvas ako and i saw this standard epi sa crescendo and pasok naman sya sa budget. but i really like the looks of an es 335(cherry). nung nakita ko sya nainlab ako. kaso d ko pa natest tong cherry. i have a friend na may lp na test ko na sya mejo nanibago lang ako sa neck nya. kasi ive been using a squire strat for a long time. thanks in advance!

i played my friend's lp plus top and compared to my dot now it has a thinner neck
when you put distortion it doesn't really feedback that much. Unless you plan on playing some hard rock or metal outside church
cause if you are go for the lp
and regardless of what you're getting buy straplocks ASAP both are easy to drop
the dot does cleans, classic rock and alternative great

Your selection would depend primarily on you.  Try out the guitars well and see "which one speaks to you."  Getting a guitar is a personal thing.  What may be good or even terrific for me may not be as such to you.  Tone is another subjective thing.  I have been in the sound business for a long time, engaged in all facets of broadcasting, recording, live sound, performance, etc. and had been an avid guitar player and to me I have found out that all these things are really a matter of personal taste and preference.  Go for whatever is comfortable for you to play and gives you the satisfaction of sound.  Go for what you like.  You are the only one who can decide on that.

^if the budget allows it but ts is torn between Epiphone LP and ES335. well, based on my recent purchase, i have to say that the MIC epiphones are way better now. I'm a proud owner of an LP standard and a Tom Delonge es333.

Get both Epi models bro.

the answer depends on your style and/or need for playing. the tone you want and the sound you need.

personally, i had my share on LPs and Semi's.
-the LES PAUL brings 'angst' to the look, most are chambered with sound and has the crunchiness of my desired tone (with two ODs), and as well as the Semi, both are Classic-Looking guitars.
-but currently, i'm using a semi-hollow, the chambered-crunchy sound that it made with m current pedals made it work. i have learned to control the 'feedback' (which is not a problem and is seldom heard, not unless u make it..), and it brings a certain look on stage.

tip:
before you go to bed, imagine yourself with the Les Paul. and later on , with the ES-335. think what will look good on you. then pray hard and ask God to give you the guitar he thinks you should have.. soon thereafter, you will be surprised on what will come.

thanks guys. i really appreciate your suggestions. kasi anniv ng church namin this sunday. hindi naman sa kailangan ko ng bagong eguitar pero thank God nagkaron ako ng budget to get a new one for our anniv. and i saw this epi lp standard sa crescendo sm fairview. natry ko na sya nagustuhan ko naman ung sound. hindi ko pa kasi na try ung es335 pero grabe kasi talaga kasexy ung 335. so aun may option ako na bilin ung lp sa sat or wait sa es 335 ni sir rmansh. haha wala kasi sya stock sayang!

u could never be wrong with an lp bro. although i believe that the guitar does talk to you when you play it... happened to me twice hehehe... anyway... you might as well try tokai guitars. may mga es at lp din sila, d p masyadong butas bulsa mo. congrats in advance kung alin man mapili mo.

Actually medyo mabigat na rin sa bulsa karamihan ng mga brand new Tokai ngayon (MIJ). They go for 50-60k sa Lyric.
Can easily bore a hole sa wallet ng karamihan satin.

Although there were the MIC Tokai guitars which went for 20-25k sa Lyric. Di na nga lang nila dinadala.
