ano ba tugtugan mo sir? depende kasi sayo yan kung magugustuhan mo yung kabuuang tunog na mapo-produce mo. what i have is 22'' kasi hanap ko yung deep ''tudd'' sound talaga..

sabi nga ng marami dito, personal preference ang sound na lalabas sa drums. sir try reading some reviews about 20'' bass drum, hindi ko pa kasi nasusubukan yun personally so hindi ko masasagot ang tanong mo..pero dahil kilalang manufacturer  naman ang Gretsch, e malamang magandang quality rin ang mapoproduce ng 20'' bass drum nila..hope this helps

me,.. i'm a 20" bass drum user its almost same sounding compared to 22" its just a bit higher in tone and lessen volume

advantage is, more comfortable and easy to set up toms, specially who wants their toms almost parallel to their snares

what do you guys use to clean your cat maple shells?

Im reluctant to use anything other than soft towels to clean my cat here... I was thinking about pledge and the like...

Sir, nobody beats the soft towel cleaning. Yes some liquid formulas may help but still we're not pretty sure about its effect on the shells.

+100
its much better to use "very soft" cloth ,others might create very fine scratches than can be seen only in reflection of the light

Thank you po.

Renown Maples has some characters that are very reliable when you are in search for the quality.

Here's a link that might help you out regarding Gretsch Snare

Goodluck!

New Catalina Maple;
-New set of Colors.
-New type of hardwares, particularly the bass drum hole mount for the tom holders and the tom holder itself.
-Shells are now 7 ply unlike the old model which is 6 plies only.
-Now selling it in 7, 6 or 5 pieces kit, unlike the old model which is 6 and 5 pieces only.

All these came from the Gretsch Drums website itself. :-)

Nope! I'd still go for the "old".

Why?
-Cause it's the one I have and I worked hard for it
-It's my third and very first high end kit
-I love the finish of the Tobacco Fade Sunburst, and;
-It's my first love! :-D

"New" Catalina Maples are cool but it's with the "Old" where my heart is :-D

Isa pa sir, suggestion ni idol Vic Mercado saken yan eh way back 2009 :-)

Welcome to Gretsch Drums Thread sir karl713!

http://www.drumsonsale.com/gibraltarscbgcbasicgrabberclamp-p-4172.html

In that way pwede mong i-clamp yung Tom Holders from the Bass Drum to the Cymbal Stand.

Goodluck!

Sir karl713, I'm referring to 1 tom lang ha?
