90's emo, Skramz, Midwest Emo
« on: November 26, 2014, 01:45:41 AM »
Hi! i am trying to expand the list of emo bands i listen to (not really the usual "emo" outfit that the mainstream offers. for ex. Hawthorne Heights, Saosin, etc. etc.)

More on 90's emo/Midwest Emo/Skramz,

Bands like:

Sunny Day Real Estate, Cap'n Jazz, Mineral, Fugazi (yeah i know they're posthardcore but i like them too) and the likes

Would you help me out discovering new bands that sounds like them or has that poetic,melodic,hardcore-ish sound that those bands creates?

i'm really into that type of music recently and i wanted to listen to bands that has that same flavor to offer.  :-D

Start with Level-Plane records, then move on to Robotic Empire and Ebullition from there. Also, American Football suck.

Emo is a form of hardcore/punk music. Bon Iver doesn't qualify.

Pg.99 is one of my favorite bands, and I like Hot Cross better than Saetia.
