I'm planning to fabricate my own distortion pedal with mr. kawayan strat. i'm gonna call it DEXTORTION DX-1. name after me. Copyright is on the process.

i imagine it is to come up with names for local products. i find some of the names kinda laughable but i guess there is some kind of light hearted joke theme in here somewhere. I just haven't found it.

bakit kaya ganun ano? hirap yata umisip ng seryosong brand name. ako rin hirap eh. pero pano kaya kung magboom ang pinoy made gear internationally? ganyan pa rin mga names na ilalagay natin?

why not?
if you translate some of the popular pedals' name into our local tongue, they'll sound stupid too. (ex: tubescreamer, memory man, bad monkey... ) we just tend to ignore/glorify those names/labels because we focus on the product itself. ('whats with a name? a rose will smell just as sweet...' ) the international community might even find it as "exotic labeling"...

you have a point there sir. astig din ang exotic labelling na pwede nilang maging impression.
pero sa kanila ba stupid sounding din yung mga names na naiisip nila? probably me ilan.
pero kung ako makakaimbento ng magandang bagay di ko gustong pangalanan ng comedy yung magandang imbensyon ko. pwera na lang kung un talaga ang intention ko, ang maging nakakatawa ung gear na un.

spoof kung baga.

kumbaga sa anak, ayaw kong maging nakakatawa ang ipapangalan ko sa kanila kung magkakaanak ako in the future.
