A Good Pre-amp/Direct box
« on: July 22, 2010, 06:58:10 PM »

Or any electric guitar direct box na may pre-amp or amp simulator w/ balanced xlr out and parallel out.

thanks in advance!

@bryanarzaga, ok sana yung artec, kaso DI box lang talaga sya and walang pre-amp.

to give you an idea sirs, i plan on using it on a PC for home pratice use then as a pre-amp during gigs. Kaya i need a small enough pedal to bring during gigs and capable of being used on it's own at home.

thanks sa mga replies sirs! i appreciate the suggestions! keep 'em coming!

i think the Sansamp is as good as it gets for electric guitar preamp/DI.

the thing with using pedal preamps is that they have no balanced XLR output.  if the TS wants a simle pedal preamp, he shouldn't have mentioned the DI part.  :-)

My main purpose for asking is mainly to see other alternatives to the Sansamp Para Driver DI. I just wanted to know if meron pang ibang alternatives for the main reason of being unique. 1st choice ko na talaga is Sansamp Para Driver DI. My 2nd choice would be to get a Hartke vxl (which is masyado na malaki para sa akin). 3rd choice would be yung Behringer GI100 (kaso i'm skeptical about the speaker/amp simulator nya). Then last resort ko is to go separate ways and get good preamp and a cheap DI box (which is masmasyadong magte-takeup ng space).

Then yung purpose ko for getting a Pre-amp/DI box pedal combo w/ balanced out is for the ability to plug-in to any soundsytem, may it be an amp, pc, speaker or mixer. Then, there's the portability issue kasi medyo madami akong gamit na bitbit during gigs.

Thanks again sa mga opinions mga sirs! i'm considering all of them. :)
