Di ko pa nakikinig eh, pero sabi nya sakin mas gumanda daw ang tunog hehe

I was also at Mike's place today and heard the restored acoustic, she sounds good. I tried again Mike's first custom tele and it's DA BOMB. My custom Tele is already done but I'm just waiting for the pickups to reach our shores. Man, it's taking a bloody loooooong time.

Yea, it's also a great to meet fellow forum members for the first time. You guys are great and you play great too. Maybe I should set up a coffee shop and studio beside his workshop.

That's right sir! We were hopeless na since mukhang di na maayos yung guitar and since you guys told me to at least try to restore it

and it was a right decision to hand it to sir Micsis as based on what i have read in this thread he is a very talented craftsman nga.

And as you can see, tama nga hehe, and parang ginamitan nya ng magic yung guitar!

I brought my guitar late December last year to sir Mike to get it fixed and kanina lang ako nagkaroon ng time makapunta ulit para kunin ( January 5, 2011 pa lang, tapos na yung guitar). It only took 2 weeks actually to finish everything. Mismo talaga pagkakaayos.

things done on my guitar:

1. repaired the broken neck (konti na lang dikit ng head to the neck nung dinala ko yung guitar.)
2. frets were leveled and crowned.
3. comprehensive set-up

too bad wala na akong camera sa phone ngayon kaya di ko makukuhanan for now yung guitar. First thing I've noticed when he handed me my guitar is the playability since wala ng sabit sa frets. Feeling ko bago. hahaha. Tested the floyd and it doesn't go out of tune anymore (puwede nang abusuhin ulit. hehehe). Kahit medyo malayo since I'm Laguna sulit ang pagpunta at pagpaparepair.

P.S. Forgot to try the telecaster on the stand...looks yummy.

Here is the Yamaha EBX-1 Bass that Mike restored. This was given to me by my brother who passed away last Nov '10, which gave me more motivation to bring this bass back to life after years of neglect.

Below are the "Before" pics when I brought it at Mike's place:

As you can see below, there is already a crack on the body. At first we thought that it was only that part, we later learned that the crack were already eating up all the way to the topmost part of the body

Here it is when it was being repaired/restored. Mike and his team glued the body back; since no clamp would fit the odd-shape of the Explorer, they used rubber to substitute for the clamp, very resourceful talaga itong si Mike hehe

Here it is now back to its original glory!

sir micsis is the man! very true and nice guy! i brought my gio last week to him for setup and fix some issues and he didn't even charge me.. "di naman ako pinagpawisan eh" he said. hehe.

i wouldn't think twice going back to him to fix my guitar.

i played the tele on the first page. it feels good, sounds good! and the bass above, i saw it in person.. ang galing ng pagkakarestore..
