« on: July 21, 2006, 02:31:06 PM »
Guys how can I tranfers these tapes to my PC and convert it to MPEG or DAT?

Do I have to buy a new video card with video input?

And me program pa ba to record the video and convert it to MPEG, DAT etc.?

Thanks.

Im planning to buy kc this saturday and transfer my old VHS and V8 to my PC and burn it as a VCD or later buy a DVD burner.

yes you can use a video card with a video input (also known as a video capture card). or meron din mga TV tuner cards with cable input and also video input card. i'm using an inno3d Nvidia MX 440 with 64mb. it came with bundled capture software, ung WinDVD creator.  okay na sa akin ang results.  however if you  would prefer high end video capture cards, meron yung mga Pinnacle products (meron firewire connectivity) saka iba pa.

you connect the audio out of your VHS/Betamax to the line inputs of your sound card (you will need a mono to stereo adapter, if you vcr is a mono output model) and the video out of the vcr connects to the video in of the
video card (S video connection is recommended)

then you launch the software.... view the preview and press record....
usually me setting na VCD, PCmpeg etc...

a processor of at least 1gigahertz and lots of harddisk space and also about 512megabytes of ram. also your harddisk should be defragged and at least using microsoft NTFS file system for the harddrive...

Thank you sir.

Ang recommended sa akin is FIREWIRE.

And masyado mahal ung mga video cards with video input.

So ang mako-cover ko lng is the DV-8 videocam.

Separate pa ung program nung video capture.  Me nabili ako sa Raon (pirata lng hehe).

So far ayos naman ung pag-copy, me mga editing tools pa na FREE ung software kaya you can create mga effects sa oridinary copy.

Cool pag-aralan.

Kapag po ba DVD rip ko gagawin....me sofware din po ba na bundled ung DVD-Writer?

Or sa capture software din ung mag-a-adjust for the DVD rip?

Thanks po sa tulong....newbie talaga ako sa ganito pero Im planning to create a video transfer business, pero sa DV-8 lng muna.  I dont have na rin kc a VHS player e.

Salamat ulit

usually pag dvd burner kasama ang nero express 6 or 7.

you can rip a p*****d dvd directly to a harddisk kasi na crack na ito...
pero kung original DVD, di kaya kahit i-image mo ang buong disk.
pero kung masipag ka mag google marami mga dvd ripping tools....

syempre theoretical ang ating pinaguusapan...
