in my undereducated and humble opinion, american products, be it guitars or amps, are worth every penny. worth the extra charge. builds are more consistent, attention to details is superb, paint, wood, frets, playability, tone/sound, everything is top notch. really high level of build quality.
while i really admire your passion for usa made guitars and like you my dad had that same opinion,
in guitars nothing is ever consistent from fit, finish, attention to detail and tone
here's my american guitars,
i love each one of them, there's a pre-dran warrior isabella, a warrior knight, prs cu-22, 2008 gibson lp traditional, prs singlecut, PBC ibanez USRG and my carvin DC600 customshop
i used to have a suhr modern, benford custom firechief, bunker classic 57,other gibsons etc
anyway here's my carvin, it has a pencil mark under the clear coat
carvin offered to either redo or rebuild, but this guitar just sounds too good to let go, so we worked out a deal for my next build, which im very excited
here's my 2008 gibson, i traded my suhr for, it was the lightest among the two and yes i have all the eye candy stuff from gibson,i only noticed the routing when i was about to swap pickups
looks like they have a rough bit used in the machine or this mahogany was too wet when it was cut
the warrior was a custom order and has finish overlaps in the wood binding and headstock
with the suhr, i was constantly adjusting the neck and it was a pain, if i get another one it will be the roasted/baked necks
