i have two X-Series pedals, the XDD DigiDelay and the XMC Multi-voice Chorus. the DigiDelay is worth every penny, i got a brand new one for $70 from a guitar store in downtown Seattle. there are lots of cool features/modes like the ring mod delay, tape delay, 4-second sampler/looper, etc. the resonance is good and it really serves its purpose to say the least, and then some. rating: 9/10

i got the XMC from the same store for around $60, also brand new. the there aren't really a lot of tweaks that you can do here, and the output sound seems a bit muddy. but for its price, it's already a decent chorus pedal. rating: 7/10

if you like the 7 settings it gives, then go for it. Otherwise, it is not a gigging guitarist's tool, as you will have to bend down and reach the pedal to switch settings. overpriced too... many conflicting reviews on harmony central.

And how does the bad monkey compare to a ts808?  :-k

Ibig sabihin digital ang Digitech Grunge ko?! Waaahhh!!!!!
Any one here knows a reasonable proce for selling my Grunge pedal? Nakuha ko kasi ito free dun sa Ibanez Gio Guitar na binili ko from my friend...anyone?

the grunge and the hothead pedals are not the expensive naman, cguro around 40 bucks lang brandnew...kasi they are china-made.

maybe 2nd hand, you can ask around 25-30bucks for the Grunge pedal..paki convert na lang sa peso at di ko alam ang conversion nowadays e.

Last time I checked 3.5k ang brandnew ng Digitech Grunge so less than that pag ibebenta mo.

Yung DF7 ko is awfully noisy - parang analog.
Wala ba talagang noise supression circuitry
and x-series considering na digital naman to??
Yung mga digital effects processor ko, quiet naman..
Meron din ba kayong ganitong problema?

i just got my df7 yesterday, its a great stomp! IMHO!  :D , .... i dont have noise issues so far... :D  it could be ur amp setup or ur pedal configuration..., or maybe ur pickups....in my experience, too much gain and highs could cause unwanted noise and excess "edginess" of ur tone especially on songs that dont need so much gain...try dialing lower gain and high...especially if ur using the mt2 mode...in my case, i use my g2.u's noise gate and its eq with my stomps...hope this helps.... :D

« Reply #62 on: March 20, 2006, 11:39:18 AM »
Isn't there a better way to name these pedals? I mean mine says it's "Grunge". So i expected a really grungy tone to come out of it.. but when i hooked mine up, it sounded more like "Death [strawberry] Metal" to me.

I don't know why.. Maybe it had something to do with my setup...

I have this Greco guitar with one humbucker pick-up running through the Digitech Grunge Pedal, going through a Korg G3 Guitar Effects Processor, then to a Crate Amp. Which is on Clean Channel.

My G3 setting was on Crunch mode, to add some gain and noise surpression, then my Grunge was set like: High -- midway , Low --midway then the gain was on low.. like 8 o'clock.

My guitar started to sound like it was ready to grind its way to hell to meet Satan. Which will be very useful IF I PLAYED DEATH/GRIND MUSIC. But then the point is: The name Grunge doesn't apply to the sound at all.

Di naman maingay yung akin. Yung ingay lang niya is what is normally found in my other stomps. Very minimal lang.

well, it's pretty worth every peso IMHO, for having the df7....
the cool thing bout this stomp is its eq, providing  it some added versatility and tone shaping.... the eq is almost the same as the eq of the boss mt-2... so tone settings are endless.... my fave distos from the df7 are the ts9 , ds2 and big muff distos... try it out men!  8)

UBER!!!!! heheheh....Uber metal was the mt-2 "killer".... that's what i think..  8)
