After 4 years, ayos na ulit strat ko.:)

The best guitar talaga ito for me. Here is me testing all pickup positions.

** This is a Jap guitar called Fresher, nabili ko na pinalitan na yung decals, not a fender. But I love the tone.

feature=youtu.be
Wow! Ang gandang Fresher yan.  Tsaka anong effects gamit mo?

AYOS FRANZ! :)

Ako naman natutuwa ngayon at nagulat sa Squier na strat. Pwedeng pwede :)

SQUIER BULLET. stock lahat. Nakuha ko 4k brand new XD

Panalo 'to ah! Parang di Squier Bullet! Tsaka great technique! Nganga lang ako.

Jofel,

nice strat! may sound clips ka ba neto? TIA

Thanks!
Wala pa ako sound clips, pero I'm planning on recording a new song gamit ito.
Pero anyway, yung 2nd and 4th pickup position, may volume drop, though nabasa ko na rin  somewhere na ganyan talaga yung issue ng Blacktop Strats kaya di na rin ako nagulat, pero I think magagawan naman yan ng paraan. :)

After playing teles and LP's and not having a strat for years, I've come full circle to the guitar that started my love for this insanely addictive hobby. I've missed the quack and sparkle. Great to be back home to the strat!

Hi everyone!

I would like some advice sana regarding a Fender CIJ ST57 I bought recently. Serial indicates 2006. I looked at their catalog that year and it seems ang dami nilang texas special and USA vintage pickup equipped strats sa lineup nila. And I also remeber reading that higher end (USA?) pickups have cloth/thread insulation sa pickup wirings and regular Japanese ones just have plastic insulation. I have 7 Japan Strats and most of them walang cloth insulation. Can anyone confirm or deny this? This one has cloth insulation and wax with 'R' marking. Any input will be appreciated.

I would like to know before selling sana para detalyado. Thanks in advance.

yup.  there's basically two "US" strat models from Fender Japan. it came with either US Vintage or Texas Special pickups. these were "USA Vintage" pickups that came stock from my ST57

Yes but I did some searching and it seems meron dapat color sa one of the pole pieces pag texas. Not sure sa Japanese kung ganon nga. In anycase it's good to know that USA made pickups ang naka install. The best way to know daw is to measure daw with a multimeter. Kaso wala na battery multimeter ko...
Thank you again sa input!

I got the multimeter out. Last time I used this was in college buti nagana pa low battery lang.

From the Fender website, texas specials have DC resistance values of:
    Neck: 6.2k ohms
    Middle: 6.5k ohms
    Bridge: 6.7k ohms

I measured:
    Neck: 6.9k ohms
    Middle: 7.0k ohms
    Bridge: 6.8k ohms

I measured it installed so it should be greater than the regular values.

The texas specials supposed to have more windings right? So it should have a greater resistance as compared to USA vintage pickups. Hmmm... now I'm thinking Texas specials nga..

It's the first time I've done this. This is fun!  :-D
