Customized Guitar Challenge

Modding a cheap guitar vs. Buying a stock guitar for almost the same price of the modded guitar

list=UUCOIcdii1bQmfSPHeNNw4Qw

Medyo mahaba lang yung video but its worth it. Both modded guitars sound awesome. Now I'm tempted to buy a mexican tele/strat sa classified ads and have it modded.  :-D

there are risks in modding a cheap guitar...you can buy the best aftermarket parts pero you'll never be sure kung ano results sa huli. pero masaya ang may risk :)

..but it kinda sucks that when you buy an expensive brand like Gibson and fender, most of the time, automatic na you have to upgrade the pickups, the pots, the capacitors to get the most out of it. I think wala pa akong Gibson na gitara na di ko pinalitan agad yung pots to CTS or bourns 500k, and pinalitan yung capacitors ng PIO or Orange drop

I had a wonderful experience with my first fully modded guitar! spent a total of 6k for a guitar I bought for 2k.

Mods done:

Pickup Upgrade
Custom Pickguard
Wiriing, switch and Pots upgrade

A lot of guys who played that guitar says that is really feels and sounds like a Fender.

I was so happy that I bought an MIJ Strat to Mod again HAHAHAHA
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

agreed...I think its all about choosing a good mod worthy guitar...something thats solid..feels right..weighs right..built right...for me i would start with MIM's or MIJ's...or MIK's

for me, mas sulit ang mod kung keeper or good sounding yung gitara, more or less MIJ at MIA. parang di kasi practical na kasing mahal or mas mahal pa yung mod sa guitar itself considering na hit or miss ang pagmod. kaya i keep the original parts para kung sakali "miss" yung mod, balik ulit sa original. though i research the mod itself para di masayang ang bili lalo na kung permanent mod(like nung neck inserts mod na i'll be installing). sa pickups and some hardware, oks nako sa second hand(sa hardware para aged agad lol) para kung "miss" maibibenta mo ng same price.

Btw...that Chappers modded ESP LTD TE202 is sick! Scalloped fretboard ftw!
