Matte sana.  Yung lang nga, as the matte finish wears...kumikintab siya sa kaka "buli" sa kanya ng kamay mo, etc.  What I hate about gloss finishes is they highlight smudges, fingerprints, etc.

Oh well, you can't have them all!

I've had both. I like both. :-D

Gloss is a b!tch to maintain, especially if it's black. But nothing shows sleek curves better in good light than a gloss finish. Gloss tends to be stickier to the touch, just the nature of having that surface against human skin (think why lizards and geckos prefer smooth surfaces). I have dulled / sanded back poly neck finishes because of this, just enough to rid it of stickiness.

Matte is your old faded jeans, or comfy leather shoes. It begs to be touched and played. It's nice on nitro finishes because it just highlights even more the inherent warmth of nitro to the fingers. It will gloss up in time as your hands buff it up, but the sheen is different from gloss. It's warm glow versus candy dipped. It makes for a friendlier vibe. Always inviting you to play.

Gloss or high gloss if possible. I find Matte finishes boring. I want my guitar to shine when light relects on it. :)

used to like matte, but the parts where it gets contact with your body gets glossy over time.. sooo.. it's glossy for me so it gets dulled over time.
