Guitar string issues

May question ako sa mga naka 7string dito sa PM, lagi kasi ako napuputulan ng 7th na string, every 3 weeks to 1 month lang tumatagal yung strings ko for 4 months na. Lagi doon lang napuputol sa 7th. Normal lang ba yun or may mali sa restringing, tuning pegs,hardware ng gitara, etc ?

Ang ginagamit kong strings recently ay dunlop heavy core 10-60, Ab Tuning. Thank you!

Saan banda napuputol yung string? Near the saddle? Near the tuning post? Or sa gitna?

Lagi sa may saddle part sir

Most probably may sharp burrs yung saddle. Kuha ka ng 800 and 1000 grit sandpaper and lightly sand along the groove of the saddle where the string sits. First with 800, then with 1000. Just to smoothen up the surface. That should do it.

Luwagan mo lang sir yung string, just enough para mai-lift mo siya from the saddle for you to comfortably smoothen out the groove.

bro, ako rin... sa nylon-string guitar ko, parating napuputol (abnormally often) yung D string somewhere between the tuning post and nut. sandpaper lang din ba solution?

Pag dun sa area na yun bro, check mo if yung butas ng white na umiikot ay matalas. Baka kasi dun siya nahihiwa and eventually napuputol. Sandpaper lang rin. Smoothen mo lang bro yung edges nung magkabilang side nung butas.

Check the nut rin kung may sharp edges, do the same.

Basta the general idea is to smoothen out kung may burr or rough or sharp part yung mga dinadaanan ng string. Over time kasi, nagwewear out rin ang hardware kaya hindi rin maiiwasan yung ganyang cases.
