Help the Sax Beginner

Could somebody tell me where and how one should start to learn the sax? Is it best to start with theory or practice or both simultaneously [is that possible?]?

isa sa mga way para matuto e  i check mo kung may marching band sa lugar nyo..hindi necessary na sasali ka sa kanila pero mabibigyan ka nila ng advice at usually may place sila kung saan pwedeng magpractice ng walang nagrereklamo..isa sa mga importante ang lugar lalo na pag magpapraktis kang patunogin ang sax saka yung mga long tones na kakailanganin mong i exercise lagi...goodluck

Anyone from cavite area? I'm also a beginner, basically kaya ko na patunugin yung sax ko and play a couple of tunes (pawidow widow lang). I was hoping that someone can help me out with the techniques. Don't really know if my embouchure is right kasi after some time masakit na sa lips. Don't know if I am applying too much pressure or mali lang talaga yung form ko. Anyway if there's someone who can lend a hand I'll appreciate it. thanks

Mga sir, tanung lang rin po ako kung anu magandang pang beginner sax na quality pero mura, around 17k lang ang budget..

i agree.. coz meron ako dati conn na trumpet nabili ko sa hongkong pero US made talagang ok sya ganda and makapal, samantalang nung umuwi ako dito sa pinas my nag alok skin ng parehong trumpet ko halos walang pinag kaiba kaso manipis sya, kitang kita mo sa pinaka bukana at sa lalagyan ng bukilya ang nipis pero conn ang brand yun nga lang napansin ko china made

Ako rin nag hahanap din ng TEACHER im a beginner too . wala pa talga ako alam sa sax kaso matagal ko gusto matoto neto .
