hi, mga zires! i have a g9 for almost 6 months now but I still can't find the tone that I am looking for. hehehe. I usually end up having patches that have muddy and nasty sounds. to the g9 users: whats your setting in the accelerator and energizer tubes?

yung accelerator tube ko dati, 12-1 oclock tube, nakapatay solid state.

yung energizer knob 12-1 o clock tube. yung boost --- ito ang importante. yung boost knob, pag nakatodo kasi simulates loud playing. kaya pag nasa kwarto lang at nagttweak ng patch, mga 2-4 o clock yung boost knob. pag nilakasan ko na for loud playing, binababaan ko to about 8-9 o clock yung boost knob. pansinin mo, halos pareho na lang yung tunog. something to do with Fletcher Munson effect.

PM me your email add. may mga patches pa ko ng G9 ko dati dito bigay ko sayo lahat.

Eh guys, just bought a G9 recently...the modulations were simply amazing for me...not to mention the tweakabilities that is yet to be discovered...which is the main reason why i bought this.
however, i was a bit disappointed to hear that most of the distortion fx are still a bit digital...
i came from an AX1500g and i must admit that the distorion fx of my previous pedal is more analog compared to this new pedal i have...im beginning to miss the seattle pre amp now  :-(
i haven't really spend some time in tweaking the patches though, so for the most part of it, i was just using the artist presets...i like the Joe Sat sound by the way and raising the tube gain makes it even nicer...you think it's just a matter of right knob combinations? maybe i just want some encouragement cause this thing is a bit pricey...hehehe
anyways, hope this thread grows...

Patch 1: slight scooped mids patch

preamp: BG
gain: 60
tone: 5
level: 1.0 (100)

EQ
bass: 0
mid: -4
treble: +2

Extra EQ:
lo-mid: -2
presence: -2
harmonics: 0

medyo OT ... share ko lang:

my G7 just arrived today .... madaming knobs...ang hirap gamitin  :? First day eh ... tsaka yung manual japanese / chinese !

Thanks for sharing sir.. try ko to sa G2 ko... pero i need to clarify lang sir...hwat does it mean if:

1.)guitar amp set flat -- does it mean that the bass, mid and treble settings are all set to zero???
2.)also, what's the difference of slight scooped mids and slight mid boost???

Please pardon my stupid questions... but could anyone enlighten me with this?? tnx!

Tip lang: Don't put too much gain. I have achieved my sound with the gain set to 60.

Set the gain to zero first then set the boost to full. Then gradually increase the gain to suit your taste.

The tube makes the sound rattle so you might want to turn it down if you want a punchier distortion.

I will post some samples later.

I love using the Peavey 5150 distortion simulation. Sounds like STACKED overdiven tones to me. Just lower the distortion level for better clarity of notes.

Distortion: 60
Low: 6 - 7
Middle - 5
Treble - 5

Extra EQ

Low: 5
Presence: 6
High: 4

Compressor: On
Reverb: Room

You can also add a delay (DL) - 40

According to another forum, just like the TLSE, you can also replace the tubes of the G7 and G9...
i wonder how it sounds like with the electro-harmonix tube installed...hhmmmm :-D

Anyone tried chaining a distortion pedal before the G7.1UT?

Yung rhythm sounds eh based sa originals namin.

Gamit ko dito yung Epiphone Les Paul standard straight into the G7.1UT tapos diretso sa USB port ng computer. Di ko ginamit yung cabinet simulation.

Comment lang po sa tunog.

Thanks.

nice playing. very tight. saka maganda yung delays sa lead sounds.

IMHO lang dude a.
