Bought the disc last yr (mga bandang Nov) and i was pretty surprised on the overall quality of the disc. Apparently almost all the tracks was recorded at Sound Image in Paranaque City, the same studio where rap group Death Threat recorded 'Still Wanted' (en i tnk pareho din sla ng engr.)

Anyway ok nga yung bagong band ni Ely Buendia. The album touches base with the erstwhile era ng grunge during the early 90s with the tracks  keeper  and teka muna . Mas paborito ko yung Pony sakakeeper. It might as well had been the album in between Circus and Cutterpillow. Pero tingin ko it was wise na nag-disband yung eheads for this beautiful record. Five stars Iron Meyden

During the fall of 2003. But the songs had been played at gigs before the record's release.

The Mongols' Buddha's Pest album is not an indie release - it's distributed by VIVA Records so it should be found in more stores than the usual indie album. The first EP was indie though.

The Mon6ols did you get the cd yet?
« Reply #10 on: February 12, 2004, 12:18:31 PM »
It's available here:

or better yet (and much cheaper) have someone who is  vacationing in the Phils. buy it for you !

This cd sounds like "carbon stereoxide's" extension.  So it's more rawk than pop.  Overall good collection of songs highlighted by Dizzy Ventura's (that's Ely Buendia) unmistakable voice framed by a powerful wall of sound from the rest of the band.  Essential tracks are the intro "Keeper", the 1st single  "Bulakbol" and my personal fave, the 2nd single "Bakit nga Ba".

Post your review when u get ur cd... alright!
If you were stuck on an island, these cds will keep you entertained (until you get rescued)! Bring plenty of batteries.  1. Sting- Fields of Gold 2. U2- Achtung Baby 3. Eraserheads- Cutterpillow 4. Rivermaya- Atomic Bomb 5. The Dawn- Beyond the Bend
