Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace Album

Narinig niyo na ba? It's the Foo Fighters' 6th Studio Album. I have not read any reviews, pero so far, I'm a little disappointed. The Pretender lang ang nagustuhan ko. Maybe it'll grow on me as i listen to it in the future, the same way One By One did.

I have the album and for me, I love it. I like it na diverse yung sounds ng Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Nandun pa rin yung heavy guitar riffs at driving rhythm section, screaming vocals ni Grohl and at the same time meron din mga acoustic numbers. Aside from "The Pretender" I like the tracks "Long Road To Ruin", "Come Alive", "Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make Up Is Running)" - which I read somewhere is Grohl's emo song.

Ayos din yung "Statues" and yung last track na "Home" - just Dave Grohl on piano and vocals.

I definitely recommend the album.

Yeah, Home's the next memorable song for me after The Pretender. Ganda nga nun.

Do you know the story behind the instrumental song "The Ballad of The Beaconsfield Miners"? There were a couple of miners trapped underground and while they were waiting for rescue, they requested specifically an iPod filled with Foo Fighters songs to keep them hopeful and strong despite experiencing such adversity. When Dave Grohl heard about this, he invited them both to have a beer with him and promised that the band will dedicate a track to the both of them on the next album.

Diba nga, Dave Grohl was labeled as the "nicest man in rock"? He's so fureaking genuine kasi eh, and he doesn't think of himself as a high and mighty human being despite his fame and success. I've read his interviews and you can really feel his passion about making music. I think he's one of those rockstars who will age with grace. Hindi katulad ni say, Mick Jagger or something. Hahaha.

I absolutely loved the Foo Fighters' latest album. The songwriting is topnotch, the arrangements are perfect for the songs and there are actually good guitar solos in some tracks! Dave Grohl has been one of my major influences (the only non-virtuoso at that) and it's great that he's growing even more as a musician unlike bands like AC/DC who just rehashed their old materials in every album.

9/10 for Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace!

ok na ok siya, classic na Foo Fighters sound tulad ng nasa The Colour and the Shape, I think.  naka-repeat siya sa winamp ko this month.
