Kahit siguro kuko lang pangkutkot mabubura Nag-alangan se ko sa presyong 6999 for a set of Silken consisting of a 20" ride, 16" crash and 14" hats plus deluxe bag. actually yun yung model na gusto ko, sa festi ko din nakita. baka nga too good to be true for the price. Kinda reminded me of wuhans in a way.

Pero mas ok yung mga wuhans kesa sa silken sir I've tried wuhans sa Lazer at nagustuhan ko naman, infact, I'll buy wuhan 14" china this month May Silken 16"china efx sa Lyric Festival Mall, tunog yero.

meron borealis cymbal line ang silken sa lyric pero sa site ng silken wala naman sila nilagay o naka display na borealis lines... hindi tuloy malaman kung anung alloy gawa yun mura pa naman.. pakiramdam ko baka brass?

May Borealis, Avus, Sebring Series sa Bagong Lyric Festival Mall na matatagpuan sa 3rd floor, katabi lang ng Audiophile at Lazer. And as far as i know, it's casted cymbals. 80/20 according sa site nila. And it's also made from the province of Wuhan.
May Silken 16"china efx sa Lyric Festival Mall, tunog yero.
Oh well, 18inches po ang nasa Festival, isang Ozone at isang hindi. Tunong lata pala sa inyo yung "trashy" :roll:
If you guys want to try these cymbals, please do drop by. Yes ako yung sales staff dun. Sabihin ninyo lang na taga-Philmusic kayo at ipapa-test ko sa inyo lahat ng nandun. :wave:

- Para specs ng silken, you can check their website. www.silkencymbal.com or silkencymbals.com. Hinde ko ren alam baket 2 website nila pero mas ok yung silkencymbal.com pero down sya sa ngayon.
- Borealis models are B10 bronze
- Aurora models are brass. Yung Aurora lang ang naging available as a set previously pero out of stock sa ngayon. Pero may nag iisang Sebring set sa Trinoma branch.
- Sebring, Avus and Trois are all made of B20 bronze.

Hehe,super complicated sounds ng Constantinople,artisan at byzance in the mix so you won't understand the sound,hehe,it's more of a additional effect cymbal with no category,hehe.sorry but that's my personal opinion. :nosebleed:

Staggs sound better. IMHO. WAAAAAY Better. these are like... glorified entry level Wuhans hahahaha No offense to Silken users here.

I am a Silken user since Nov. 2013
Silken Cymbals are B20 or Cast Alloy Cymbal at Handmade.. I have 10" Sebring Splash and 18" Avus Solid Crash, at yang dalawang yan ang mas nagpapakulay ng tunog sa kit ko..
Silken Cymbals are not comparable to Wuhan and Stagg kasi mas pino ang Casting ng Silken (Im not judging the 2 cymbals, infact user din ako nila) at mas maganda ang Finish, ayun nga lng ung logo medyo madaling mabura..
My 10" Splash is comparable to Zildjian A Customs at ung 18" Crash ko ay walang duda na kalinya ng HHX Stage at HHX Evo Crash..
Medyo konti nga lng ang stocks ngaun, pero alam ko may parating na shipping ngayon ng Silken Cymbals..
Sebring, Avus and Trois series are all B20 Cast Alloy Cymbals Borealis series are B10, while Aurora series are Brass.
I hope nakatulong tong insight na to..

Two events led me to these. First, something clicked when I got a chance to play a set Kerope and K Con cymbals early this year. I felt they finally delivered the oldskool dark and trashy sounds which regular K's promised but never took to the max. And then I heard Antonio Sanchez’ cymbals on the Pat Metheny Unity Group album. They were so radically different from anything I had heard and played before. It took me a while to warm up to the sound, but once I did, I was hooked. Unfortunately, the price for admission to these wonderful sounds are frightening, or so I thought. All that changed however while windowshopping in Lyric Main Horseshoe. I was about to leave when the salesman directed me to the Silken display. My first impression was that this was just another small, funky cymbal brand. I was unimpressed with the Sebring, Avus, and Borealis series. But one hit on the 20" Trois blew my mind. It wasn't only dark and trashy, but CRAZY-BOINGY-GONGY dark and trashy. I guess it's what you get when a Chinese cymbalsmith interpolates vintage Turkish cymbals. About the only thing right about my first impression was the price, less than half of big name brands, and another half off due to a Lyric's Super Sale. I didn't have enough cash on me, so I had it reserved until the weekend. I went back bright and early on a Saturday morning, and left the store not only with the 20", but with an 18" too. Now all I need is a gig.

But the Trois 14" hats were very nice to me. I hope I get some money together before the sale ends mid-November.

There's even a 16" Trois in Lyric's website for ₱4,340. That means P2,170 if 50% off. But they don't have any on the Main or SM North, so I haven't tried it. Baka other branches.

Ganda din ng brand na to. At abot kaya pa. I have 14" sebring beat hats yung flat ang bottom, 16" dragon crash at 20" master dark ride. May issue lang ako na napansin sa dragon crash ko. Kasi lagi ko siya ginagamit sa gigs, may yupi na siya. Ganon ba talaga maninipis na cymbals? Manipis kasi siya?
